I stayed in the Embassy suites for two nights on Aug. 31- Sept. 2, 2008 and I can tell you it is beautiful. Views from the hotel of the mountains are wonderful. It just opened in June of 2008 and looks spectacular. The lobby has a nice fountain, seating areas and a bar as well as a Starbucks Cafe. The pool and fitness room are clean and well appointed and the staff could not be friendlier. Shuttle service to the airport and anywhere within 3 miles of the hotel is free and quick. I would not hesitate to book there again.

this hotel was wonderful. a little pricey, but we would stay here again any time. the staff was VERY helpful and the kids really enjoyed the pool. the business center was very well appointed, with an available printer. the beds were very comfortable and the room was huge. also, there is a happy (2) hour in the evening. we really enjoyed our nights here.

My husband and I visited the embassy suites in Anchorage and feel its the best hotel in anchorage. The building and room were impecibly clean, the staff go above and beyond to help customers and the hotel is located right next to the best movie theatre in town, shopping and good restuarants.
When we first checked in we found a VERY minor issue in our room and reported it to the staff thinking they'd just fix the problem and that would be that but when we returned later in the evening from shopping we found much to our astonishment that they'd given us another room (UPGRADED). They'd given us a jacuzzi suite which had three plasma tv. One of which was directly across from the Jacuzzi (seperate from the main bath that had its own shower). The room was very quiet (like the others) and had a down filled conforter on the confortable, king bed (also like the other rooms). We enjoyed our stay immensely and plan on staying there again when we return to Anchorage. The breakfast was nice too consisting of scrambled eggs with cheese, thick bacon, large sausages, hash borwns, an assortment of cold cereals, donuts, yougurt and fruits. The breakfast is free but the internet is NOT. That wasn't a problem for us but I realize it might be for others. All in all I'd HIGHLY recommend this hotel to EVERYONE.
