My boyfriend and I spent 6 nights at the Sands in March, 2007. The service at the Sands is very friendly and the beach there is beyond belief. There were a few service issues during our stay, but nothing that interfered with the enjoyment of our stay. We will return to the Sands again.

We stayed in unit 3103 which was supposed to be oceanfront but all we saw were bushes and the pool. The unit was old and not clean, the screens on the porch door were ripped and held up with band aids. the drians were clogged and took forever to empty. They took our towels and wah cloths when cleaning the room and never replaced them because they didn't have enough. We showered most every afternoon without wash cloths and had to use beach towels to dry. The staff is not accomodating at all!! this place has seen it's day....much niocer places on the Island!

I visited The Sands in July 2006 and am planning an even longer trip for July 2007. The people were friendly, the food was great, the staff was helpful, and the sunsets were amazing. Grace Bay is one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches that I have ever seen and I have traveled extensively. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation and do not need to be entertained this is the vacation for you.

We celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary at Turks & Caicos and our second trip to The Sands. Overall, the Sands is a very nice property, but the rooms need some updating, looking a little tired. Understand they are in the process. Hemmingway's is very good. Tiki Huts and canvas canopies at the beach were always taken. Guests monopolized them all day, every day. If you weren't there by 8:00 am, you could forget it. The hotel did have a few umbrellas. More snorkel equipment needed; same situation as Tiki huts. Hotel staff was very nice.
