I would definitely return to the Sands at Grace Bay Beach the next time i visit Provideciales. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted and offered rum punch or fruit punch, which was great also. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Check-in only took a few minutes, the room was ready when we got there, we didn't have to wait, then we were escoted to our room by Inel, who carried our luggage, he was very nice. We had a studio courtyard, which seemed like a one bedroom, because there was one bedroom, then the living room separate with a kitchenette, and of course the bathroom. The living room had a queen size sofabed. So in fact this room could fit 5 people easily.
The housekeepers were great, they kept the room clean everyday.
The ground of the hotel was kept exceptionally clean, the flowers and landscaping was beautiful. There are 3 pools and 1 hot tub. The beach at the hotel is mesmerizing. Not only is the water BEAUTIFUL beyond anything i have ever seen, but it is not at all crowded. You didnt have to come out at 6am for a tiki hut.
The only negative is that there little to no nightlife, but with all the construction going on, i don't think that it will be that way for long.
Hemmingway's has a great selection for breakfast and lunch, but not too many options for dinner. i would recommend eating somewhere else for dinner.
My overall experience at the Sands was excellent and will definitely stay here again, and i will recommend it to anyone visiting Provodenciales.

My husband and I stayed at the Sands recently for our 25th wedding Anniversay. We really enjoyed our stay there. Rooms were very clean and roomy. Screened in balcony was very nice. Nice beachfront and Pool. Always was able to get a chair with shade by the pool. Ocean Vibes located on the resort helped with scuba and snorkel trips. Resort has a nice restaurant, and there are other restaurants within walking distance. Shopping is a 10 minute walk. Staff at the concierge desk was helpful with dinner suggestions. Enjoyed Coco Bistro for our anniversary and Magnolias for our last evening/sunset. Bay Bistro and Aqua good as well. This is a very pretty island, and great if you like water sports. The island is laid back and relaxing. Didn't seem like there was alot of night life, however we were not looking for it. We will be back.

My husband and I went for 10 year anniversary and thought the Sands was great - half the price of most hotels on the island and has all the same amenities. Great service and attention from the staff. We had a studio garden view on 1st floor of building 5 and was great - fridge, microwave and washer dryer right in the room. Fridge not very cold though. Beautiful pools, unbelievable beach with free hobie cats, kayaks, bikes (not the greatest condition and only 2 of them so were in use most of the time). Hemingways was more than acceptable and reasonably priced compared to all others on the island. Other hotel restaurants and downtown area within walking distance from Sands. I don't know why anyone would spend so much more anywhere else on the island - Sands was awesome!

The Sands at Grace Bay offers a very good value compared to other properties on Grace Bay Beach we considered. The hotel was all it appeared to be from description and photos. Hemingway's, the onsite restaurant, is open air and right on the beach. The atmosphere is casual and laid back where several other properties on GB appeared to be more formal and ostentatious. The property also enjoys open space on both sides of the hotel, giving it a sense of of privacy and space than other hotels on GB Beach. It also appeared to offer more beach shade than other hotels on GB. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the Salt Mill Shopping/Restaurant area. There isn't much night life in the GB area but if you're looking for a relaxing vacation in the sun and on a beautiful beach, we heartily recommend The Sands at Grace Bay.
We Plan on Returning

We plan on returning to Grace Bay and the The Sands is high on the list of possible places to stay. The studio unit we stayed in was comfortable with a great view of the ocean. Ahh the beach was the best for snorkeling and swimming that we've ever been to. Free snorkeling gear were readily available. Hemingway's restaurant onsite with the the beach/pool as it's backdrop served good food at a fair price for the island (fairly expensive). Other good places to dine are within walking distance or a short taxi ride away. Our unit had a small refridgerator and a washer/dryer. As we were checking out I realized one of my earrings was caught in a small space in the in room safe. A maintenance worker was in the room almost immediately and removed the safe from the wall to get my piece of jewelry. They provide late check use of onsite services including the shower in the health club.
