Description
History and culture intertwine in this ancient 13th century Country Resort for Wellness and Cooking, which preserves the mystical allure of a sacred place, as it was first converted into a Convent for Clarisse nuns and then a monastery for Franciscan monks. One of the goals of the owners, Marinella and Dario, was to create a place that would be truly magical, a place that would instill a feeling of total well being derived from the complete absence of ties and limitations on the spirit. They recovered the ancient materials, stone, wood and terracotta of which the Convent was built. They relied on the techniques of building biology to create a space in harmony with the beauty and perfection of the surrounding nature, 100 hectares of woods, only 3 km from Spoleto. The Convento di Agghielli is open all year around.
