I have to admit, I was a little skeptical when I got to the hotel and saw how small it was. However, all my fears were taken away when I was greeted by a very friendly front desk girl who seemed like she had just been waiting to greet us. She piled my arms with information and sent us on our way to a beautiful cottage. The cottage had a huge master bedroom with a jacuzzi and a beautiful fireplace and huge kitchen. I was blown away, for what we paid I didn't expect that much. We were only able to stay for two nights, but I have not doubt we will be back. Next time I plan on it being just my husband and I. We looked at the suites and they were just gorgeous. I highly recommend this place, the owners are friendly and this small family business welcomes everyone.
Not worth the money

Our first stay at Snug Harbor will be our last. We rented a suite with full kitchen and balcony view. The best part of the room was the view. Someone obviously has tried to do some sprucing up at some point, but cosmetic at best. Peeling wallpaper and crumbling plaster in the bathroom. Towels were dingy and not at all soft. Living area carpet was filthy. Fake logs in gas fireplace were coated with dust. Upholstery was very worn. The sheets on our very hard bed didn't fit so the bottom sheet came untucked every night. The DVD player in the living area doesn't fit properly in the space so it is literally hanging halfway out - a real hazard for anyone with small children who could nudge it and have it falling on top of them. When we used the kitchen, we had to wash a few of the dishes first and when we came back after the cleaning staff had been in, they had not even run the dishwasher we had already loaded! No information in the room about available services and tourbooks for the area found in the room were old. The suite was a good size and with updating and better care would be very nice. But for what we paid, we expected much better. Installing a jacuzzi tub and updating once every 20 years doesn't cut it for the class of room they say they provide. Website was very short on information as well. I had to call to find out if they had internet service (which they do, so one plus in their favor. To owners/management: it could be a very nice place if it was taken care of better!
