Description: The price was not that bad for this hotel, 75 euros for a single room is not bad but not great. But what gave me most is, was definitely the hotel picture and description of the Art Deco style villa.
Address
Emmastraat 35 in Hilversum.
.
It is a three star hotel with 20 rooms. Some rooms have a balcony. Each room has its own design. Location wise the hotel earmarked as a hotel near the centre and the station. Well, for the centre you have to walk 10 minutes. It actually lies in an old suburb of Hilversum. The villa itself is a point where two streets meet. So basically on a corner.
Arrival
There is no private car park at the hotel. Fortunately I found on the back (or another side) in the street near a spot for my car. J runs through the terrace of the hotel. The first thing I noticed was the balcony at the villa. What a nice place. The entrance has a nice canopy. I always think that a little extra to give a hotel. In the garden stands a large sign announcing Hotel Ravel. Otherwise you would not even know that this villa is a hotel. It looks neat and well groomed on the outside off. You open the door and then you come in a small hallway with the reception.
The room
Up a staircase and I come to my room. The bed looks neat. It smells fresh. There is plenty of light from large windows in the room. And I have a beautiful view of the street where my car is. There is a television in the closet. A sort of desk / table to the wall. There is a telephone and there is an Internet connection. The room looks clean and neat. It's simple, but everything is clean. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. But otherwise not a luxury. There is a bar of soap and a shampoo bottle.
The breakfast room
The hotel has no restaurant. But down in the bay room, on entering which I liked, breakfast is served. A small cszy space. The breakfast was not included in the room prices. It costs 9.50 euros per person. It's a good hearty breakfast with fresh pastries and a dish with meat, cheese and sweet. The waiter came to ask how I wanted it cooked egg. Perfect! Coffee and tea were served and of course there was a glass of juice. I thought it was a fine breakfast at this price.
The times are from 7.00 until 10.00 hours before breakfast.
Facilities
As I said there is no restaurant but a small bar. Just a little place to chat and drink, but not a very nice evening to stay. The reception is only manned until 23.00 hours / staffed. So the bar too! If you want to go from the hotel, you get a key with which you enter yourself. That is a bit unusual. In the hotel's WiFi Internet services. The reception desk is a rack with brochures of area attractions. Furthermore, there are not many facilities. But there is a reception from 8:00 to 23:00. As regards location, the hotel is a good choice. At least for my purpose. I think it's really a business hotel. There are no disabled facilities at this hotel.
I was only there for business. But if you want to stay here then there are enough facilities in the vicinity of golf course to the media park facilities and studios. Driving around in the nostalgic villages nearby or enjoy the fabulous villas.
Prices
This hotel costs for a single room between 75 and 105 euros for a double room between 85 euros and 145 euros. For a multiple room from 120 to 175 euros. You can pay cash or credit card.
General
A nice hotel with a fine breakfast. A nice villa and a good location. Personally I thought it was unfortunate that no restaurant was there. The small bar was for a nightcap in the evening is pleasant.
