Hilton Copenhagen Airport

The Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel is conveniently located right next to the airport and can be accessed directly from the Arrival/Departure Halls through a covered walkway. The first time we went there in 2002, we were not too impressed by how plain the outside of the building looked at first sight. However, the moment we stepped into the hotel, we knew we really had nothing to worry about. The interior décor was sleek, modern, and 100% Danish! The staff who greeted us at the front desk were friendly and professional. And that was only the beginning. We were pleasantly surprised, to say the least, when we opened the door and saw our room. The room was not big, but everything was nicely arranged. The design of the furniture was completely Scandinavian, and the TV there was from Bang & Olufsen! The bathroom was lovely too, and was furnished with marble floor and walls. And it was just a regular room.

Although the hotel is right next to the airport, I couldn’t hear much noise at all while I was staying there. On the other hand, if you don’t mind watching the takeoff and the landing of the aircraft, you might be able to get a peek from your own window in your room. In the summer of 2002, we only paid roughly $120/night to stay there. However, it seems that the rate has since gone up. But I think it’s still well worth the money if you want to get some rest after some long-hour flights or if you need to catch an early flight in the morning. Also, considering that this is an above-average five-star hotel and how expensive most of the hotels are in Europe, the rate here is really not too bad.

To go to the city center, you can take the commuter train or a taxi. The train tickets can be purchased inside the airport. If you are low on cash, most of the taxi drivers accept credit cards in Copenhagen, which may end up giving you a more favorable exchange rate.

The Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel is a great hotel. I hope you’ll get a chance to check it out, too!
