I just returned from staying in the center of Helsinki, Finland at the Holiday Inn next to the railway station. One might think this a very busy place to stay, perhaps noisy in the middle of the city. But my room could not have been quieter and more lovely! I had a beautiful view of Helsinki and the room was very cozy and warm, with heated bathroom floors and it was amazingly sound insulated as well. It had lovely wooden ceilings and cabinets and beautiful lighting. The bathroom amenities were so Finnish as was the very kind hospitality of the reception desk. They were always ready to help me with my questions. Even when I forgot my cell phone in my room, they saved it for me so that a cousin could come pick it up. I would stay there again if I needed to and would recommend the ease of staying here after flying to Finland. Take the Finnair bus from the airport and you are taken right to the hotel!

The Holiday Inn, City Center, Helsinki, is a very good hotel in the best location for connection to the trains and buses including buses to and from the airport. The hotel is located adjacent to the train station and within 300 feet of the bus stop for the airport bus.
I found the staff to be very helpful and the accomodations excellent. Free internet cable access is available in every room.
An excellent breakfast is included in a standard room rate, but a reduced rate is available if one does not have breakfast. Check to be sure your rate includes breakfast.
