Eaten Alive By Bed Bugs

We only stayed for three nights. I was bitten three times on my face the first night. During the second night, I lucked out and only got bitten one more time on my upper arm, so truthfully, I didn't think too much of it. On our last night there, the bed bugs had a major feeding frenzy and I ended up with over forty festering bites on my lower legs and feet. When I went down to the front desk to show the staff the bites, they had absolutely no reaction! I found that extremely disconcerting to say the least, which led me to believe that this may be a common occurrence there. When I asked for the Manager, I was told she was "not available", so I gave the front desk clerk all of my contact information in writing, but the female Manager has never contacted me by e-mail or by phone. Since I took photo's of the bites while I was still at the hotel on the day that I checked out, I e-mailed her those photo's when I returned home but surprise surprise.... She has still not contacted me. It is now three weeks later, and I am regrettably still dealing with red itchy welts that will likely scar my skin. I will never stay there again, and will not recommend this to anyone I know.
UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!

They're adding a new wing, and since all construction in the area is stone and cement, you hear nothing but electric saws and hammers all day by the pool. Since the hotel faces the Pacific, which is unswimmable (riptides), you have no decent water options and sunbathing is not at all relaxing. Also, my brother and I found the A/C to be very noisy (we changed rooms once, so a total of four rooms were this way), adding to the lack of peace and quiet.
Their "gym" is a total joke, with a couple of 60's era exercicles and a universal. So, working out is also not an option. Far better places to stay, for sure.
Spectacular View!

First, let me say this very COOL Hotel is built into a scenic rocky cliff and most rooms have a view of the ocean and beach areas. It's worth the extra $ to stay in the newer or updated section of this lovely hotel* (a must) as some of our group stayed in the older part where the rooms were dated and darker-less cheery.
RE: Service: I lost a contact lens the first day of our stay and the concierge went out and found a new pair amazingly with my exact prescription and had them delivered to me in my room all within a couple of hours... AND, for $25!!
The restaurant food and outdoor patio views (up on the cliff) were awesome! Our -group enjoyed convening there for daily happy hours or night caps at the minimum, but often met for breakfast there as well.
We walked into quaint downtown Cabos almost every day and/or evening & sometimes rented a Ricshaw-sp? bicyclist who pedalled us into town...also took a sunset cruise*(another must)...relaxed & socialized around the large beautiful pool area where waiters were on hand within moments to offer you food and drink(s). (noticed there were lots of shady spots for those who like a wee bit less direct sun as well.)
Although you'll be one of the last to get off the airport shuttle (next time maybe much quicker ride via cab fare would be worth it)... but, must say.. it's absolutely worth the shuttle ride should you select that option, and I was able to get fairly good previews of most of the other hotels, (while we were dropping off others), along the way.. so hey!
-submitted to you from one well-travelled gringo...you will not be dissappointed!

This was our fourth trip to Cabo and our third time at the Hotel Finisterra. The pools are great and the service and staff are excellent. The rooms are nice and large and the views from the balconies are spectacular. It's just a short walk to the marina area for dining and shopping. This is a great place.
Wouldn't recommend to any one.

I've been to going to mexico for years, this be far was the worst experience I've had. The staff and hotel nickel and dime you about everything, they try to overcharge you for anything they can. The shuttle service that they offer only takes you down the hill, not even up the hill. Don't go hear ever.
