They have an exceptional point of access to the city. They have a clean, upscale, beautiful property. The staff booked me on great tours, got me reservations to restaurants (got me a very good table), and treated me exceptionally well. I am a fan and will stay at their properties in the future. It is a beautiful location, with a kind and gracious staff, I loved it. The breakfast is great as well. They have a great work out room. I loved my room, my view, and my time with Swissotel. It was on par with other upscale luxary hotels I have stayed at, I was comfortable and felt safe.

Located at historic, central Dam Square: all tram lines and amenities (department stores, deli, takeout coffee & pastry shop, foreign newspapers) within steps. Our 2 adjoining rooms on the 2nd floor were spacious by Euro standards with clean modern design, espresso maker and mini-bar. Free internet access (2 terminals) in 2d floor business center.Surpisingly good exercise room.Great value for this location and level of amenities. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

In the center of everything!

It has a/c. The staff is warm and friendly. Most (not all) of them are very informed and willing to help in any way possible. Rooms are redone with a modern edge and cute and clean as a whistle. Beds are super comfy! The espresso machine is fabulous! Rooms are more than sufficient for 2 adults- no problem. You can walk anywhere from here! Cannot top this location! Totally safe and the tram is a 2minute walk. Young and bustling hood. If you want something quieter or in a quaint area, I suggest the Jordaan neighborhood.

Hotel is in the City Centre close to tourist area; the hotel is lacking service; maids never cleaned room and staff not real friendly; also hotel we tried several times to get wake up call and 24-hour room service and no one answered the phones; very noisy hotel at night; air didn't work

Great location

Stayed in a "deluxe" room, which was nicely sized; more on par with a typical US-sized room. The location was incredible - Dam Plaza is right outside the door and everything you could ask for is a few steps away. The service was great; we arrived early and were given a room immediately. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. The ?modern? shower, using a very small glass partition instead of a curtain or door, resulted in me hosing off the bathroom after each bathing. But that was my only complaint.
