Have stayed there over 40 times in a 5 year period, mainly stayed in the sun wing, the re-furbished rooms with the steam showers and sitting room are excellent, would always recommend asking for one, preferably try and get a free upgrade

The location is absolutely wonderful. You walk out onto Dam Square and can walk wherever you want to go. The hardest part is driving there. We ended up following a taxi up on to the sidewalk and driving across trolley tracks. I still don't know another way to the hotel! Once you are there, you don't need your car again.

Great location. Close to train station and within walking distance of everything. Well maintained rooms with nice appointments.

This hotel exceeded expectations. Rooms were larger than most Euro hotels, very clean,and quiet. Staff was great, location incredible. Just watch footing in tub, needs non-slip strips. 2nd time in Amsterdam, 1st time at this hotel. Will book at this hotel for all future visits.
A Grand Hotel indeed!

This is a return visit to this hotel, in the heart of Amsterdam. The staff is wonderful, services great, and my room had a very comfortable bed and unbelievable view.
