One of the best places I've stayed! My only problem was trying to pronounce the name! We were met by a very freindly doorman then ushered tot he front desk where the staff was super friendly! It was my birthday weekend and me and my friend were upgraded to an apartement! The apartment was beautiful! Very clean and really quiet! The location of the hotel is fantastic too. really close to the train, red light district, Anne Frank House, shopping, canal tours, cafes, etc. Could not have had a better expereince! Highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel was great for any traveler. Most importantly is location: right on Dam Square. The room was very clean and the bathroom had great hot water pressure a luxury sometimes in European travel. Although this hotel may cost a little more considering there are so many in Amsterdam however, this hotel is definitely worth the extra few bucks and try online travel website to get a good price. A nice clean hotel room is always worth it when traveling. The staff was polite and most helpful. I would definitely go back to this hotel. and recommend it to others Only one drawback is the mini bar is expensive but that is not a surprise at any hotel. Go to any local store and purchase your water and snacks to save money. I throughly enjoyed this hotel and again would recommend to others.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, and they could not be more accommodating. On this trip, I arrived on the red-eye but they had my room before 8 am. I forgot to bring an electrical transformer, and they gladly delivered one to my room. The staff was courteous, the location is convenient, and the rooms are great.

This is an excellent but expensive hotel centrally located in downtown Amsterdam right on dam square. The front desk and service staff are very friendly and extremely professional. The hotel services are outstanding. For instance, you get 15 minutes of free internet access to confirm your return flight, using the computers in the Business Office. As with most Amsterdam hotels, it's advisable to eat breakfast and other meals outside the hotel. The flat rate price for the hotel breakfast is way overpriced compared to what you pay at the many wonderful eateries only footsteps outside the hotel. My room was excellent with the exception of the bathroom lighting. The bathroom lighting is so dim that shaving was dangerous. However the standard rooms are large (by European standards) with much more closet and dresser drawer storage space than other downtown hotels. All in all I recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again on my next visit (with my own portable, supplemental lighting for the bathroom).
