Five star hotel with 200+ rooms. Over the top decor depending on your taste, but most thought it gorgeous. Good situation within easy 1k distance from town centre, although it's on busy road at front. Magnificent Nile and West Bank views at rear. Best choice of breakfast ever. Seven restaurants, cafes, and bars. Sumptious suite with two balconies. Lovely pool with smallish gardens and plenty free beds/towels. Pontoon over the Nile. Own feluccas/motor boats.
Your every whim can be catered for, but when juxtaposed against the poverty outside seems a bit obscene. If you stay in a place like this we strongly feel you should put something back into the local economy as this is an internatonal chain and it's unlikely anything goes back into the Egytian economy except of course by paying the staff who have to spend locally.
