5 of us got a 2 bedroom suites.Booked through Costco Travel, and paid $500+/night.Check in was slow, the guy wasn't friendly, no smile at all. Next Morning, they woke us up first thing asking us to pick up some welcome package, which ended up was a timeshare trap. Breakfast buffet costs $20/per, and not much to eat. They told us we can't order from menu. 2 mins before buffet needs to be cleaned up, the waiter notified us. We immediately got up but most of the stuff was already gone.At least they should give us 10 mins warning.I wasn't happy, so I didn't leave much tip, then the waiter ran after us.Maid doesn't clean kitchen, we didn't use kitchen, there were small ants all over.balcony was nice and big, but chairs were all dusty.voicemail instruction was missing a digit, line to room service wasn't working,TV remote wasn't working.Elevator display was broken.they don't automatically refill the shampoo, can't they check the empty bottle?Paid for a local tour, but they forgot to reserve for us.the lady didn't even say sorry.only thing i like is the pool and beach.but way too expensive. for the same price i could go to hawaii. Hamburger is $16! The price is 5 star, but everything else is not.

I am a travel agent and didn't let the know so I could see how I would be treated. The staff is great and the ground are kept perfectly. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. We will be back again and again.
Last minute getaway

We decided last minute to travel to PV. We were able to find a great deal and went with family who were departing from another city. Upon check-in, a bartender appeared out of nowhere and offered us complimentary juice. Check in was quick and we followed that with a meet and greet with one of the gals from the concierge. She asked us to participate in a timeshare presentation but we refused as this visit was meant for relaxation and we were not planning to leave the hotel. She kept hounding us but eventually gave up. The next morning, we were rudely awakened by the SAME lady who begged us to attend the presentation. We refused again. We decided to leave the hotel to get some breakfast and we were met by the same lady and she tried once again to convince us to participate in the timeshare presentation. She offered us free breakfast, $200 food and beverage credit and 2 free massages. We finally gave in out of frustration. After this initial drama, we had a great and relaxing time. The pool staff is wonderful, the atmosphere is relaxing and there are many families visiting with little ones. The massage was AWESOME! We were very sad to leave. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I needed a getaway so we chose the Flamingo online. We took the all inclusive option and everything was included, from bottled water, to many a tequila shots of good quality, beer and they waited on us hand and foot at the pool and restaurants. The resort was definitely under occupied (off season), we never had to fight for space at the pool or restaurants. Every evening, there were only a handful of couples in the main restaurant. We ordered from the menu every night. Food was good, as was service. Breakfast was a buffet, but also had an omelet and quesadilla bar. The Spa was beautiful, we both had a massage. Nice amenities, not rushed, very relaxing and reasonably priced.
It was quiet at night, secure. Grounds were immaculate. Room was nice, marble floors, nice bathroom, room had a safe, new color TV. Gift shop had basics, but was expensive ($* USD) for sunblock. Booze was available but not cheap. If you go and want to embibe without the all inclusive, stop off at the duty-free shop on your way out of the country and save.
They are attempting to sell condos but if you tell them that you're not interested, they didn't pester us.
The all inclusive piece made sense for us on this trip, we didn't leave the resort for 4 straight days. The pool was fantastic and the servers earn their keep, especially if they see the all inclusive wristbands (tips included in the all inclusive package). If we go to PV again, I'd think about staying there, but maybe without the All inclusive since we'd probably go out and see the city more and explore. We needed the rest and the peace and quiet and we got it.
