Okay, if you plan on staying here for more than 3 days, move on. We had a nice short getaway, which was okayfor this place. Great staff, good food but don't expect anything great. If you want fancy you are in the wrong place, go to town and find a place that has what you are looking for. Hotel is being renovated, but it did not affect the stay, we were on the beach all the time anyway, and you cannot hear the noise. Food at the beach bar/grill looked "funny", so we did not eat anything there. Restaurant/Buffet was adequate and food was fresh, plenty of booze, great sun, reef right by the beach.
On the flip side, if you plan inexpensive family vacation this is a good spot.
Rooms are motel quality, so don't be surprised if something does not work, like our room had many issues with details, but at least we had hot water, thats a plus.
We liked our stay because of the beach, but not planning on going back again.
If you overlook all the details, and don't care about few "minor" issues, it can be a decent place to go and relax for a few days.

Our goal this vacation was to be as close to the beach as possible and have everything included up front with no bill to come home to. We accomplished those two goals and even made some money from the Isle of Capri casino. The rooms are standard as well as the bathroom. Be prepared but remember you are not there to stay in your room--be out on the beach lying in the sun that is what you go for. The food keeps you from being hungary but nothing to look forward too. My husband and I enjoyed the Italian restaurant even though others did not. They offered alot of food there and it was actually hot--not so in the buffets. One thing we missed here was ice cream--only offered in the Asian restaurant. Again we got a good deal from the travel agency and it was all we expected it to be so we might even be back for a week to relax and sleep on the beach once again. Hopefully it will be warmer.
Loved the beach, the people; hated the dining hall

On our first day, I thought a little bird joining us for lunch in the Junkanoo restaurant was cute until, as our visits to the main dining hall on this inclusive resort increased, I realized that the room was home to more than 20 birds, who ate from the bread basket at the buffet in the morning, off of everyone's plates the second they stood up, and left their droppings everywhere! It was completely disgusting and the board of health in the USA would have closed it down. I was so grossed out that I couldn't bring myself to go back in there, however, there is no other place to eat except for burgers, hot dogs and cold (lousy) sandwiches on the beach. The food in the restaurant was fresh and good, if you ignored the birds! I thought the beach was very pretty, snorkeling was okay with just one tiny reef area but we saw a 3 foot baracuda, 2 gorgeous lion fish and many other colorful fish, so that made it fun. We have snorkeled in many other far more pretty places, though. We brought many one dollar bills with us and tipped the bartenders and our drinks were potent (in tiny plastic glasses) and the servers were friendly. The Italian restaurant was immaculate and the food was pretty good there (dinner only) but we didn't find it until the last day. We met many friendly people, including the people who work there. They do move very slowly (think island time) and it took two hours for our flooded room (thank goodness there's no carpeting) to clean it up after our toilet overflowed (and I was too stupid to know how to turn off the water valve), but it was done very efficiently.
Not for those looking for relaxation

This place is very busy and noisy. While it has a georgous beach setting, the commotion makes it difficult to enjoy and relax. There is a boom box blaring music from 10AM to 5PM every day at the pool. You can hear this music to the furthest ends of the beach. I wanted to sit and read and listen to the waves on the beach, but instead had to listen to loud pop music.
Also hampering the relaxation were people on the beach who were hotel employees trying to sell t-shirts/beads etc. Saying no one day did not carry over to the next, so this was a constant. There were also people who wanted to pose us for photos that I assume they would try to sell us later.
Though this is billed as all inclusive, they are trying hard to make more money off of guests. We weren't there 5 minutes and an employee was giving us a sales pitch on a "vacation club" that started sounding like one of those timeshare sales pitches. After a long flight I had no patience for this! I just wanted to check into my room.
Lastly, if you do decide to go here, be aware that thier 3:00 check in really means 3:00. Our flight got us there at 12:30 but we had to wait till after 2:00 for our room.
