This is definitely not a "4 Star" Hotel.

The front desk was very friendly. The one time I received room service, it was delivered quickly. The location was right across from a main tram station and was extremely noisy all day and all night. We stayed in a corner room which we thought would be an advantage, but it was never quiet unless the windows were completely closed. We were told to leave all windows closed for security reasons, however, it was impossible to do for ventilations reasons. We were on the 2nd floor in room 210. This prevented us from having any ventilation as the advertised "climate control" did not work in this room. We never experienced any air movement and it was quite hot. We needed to leave our windows open at night to be able to breathe fresh air and ventilate our room from the extremely heavy cigarette smoke that permeated our nonsmoking room which apparently came in through the "climate control vents." There was an extemely small closet although our room was a King size room. The bathroom was extremely small and had no tub, but a 2-1/2' by 2-1/2' shower. There was no satellite television as advertised. This room, while located near the "old Zurich" was a plus, does not live up the expectations of the advertising and the price. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Zurich for the first time. It would be a disappointment.
