Business is business, but where do you draw the line?

It all started even before we set our foot on the Mexican soil. We had picked this hotel from the database of our timeshare exchange company. The moment we had the exchange go through we were bombarded with the phone calls from the hotel stating that we MUST pay all-inclusive fee in front (even though it was February and our travel was scheduled for July) or they'll cancel the exchange. It took a lot of calling to the exchange company's reps and their calling to the hotel to make sure they live us alone. Then they've sent us a welcome letter stating that they'll help with the transportation, for the fee, of course. We, unfortunately, agreed. As we landed in Cabo we realized that we could grab a taxi for the half of that price, but it was too late and the money paid for the transportation was not refundable. In the hotel we were constantly bombarded by the reps from the time share sales office giving us a ton of lame reasons as to why we MUST attend the time share sales presentation. To make sure we can have a nice rest of vacation we agreed for the 90 minutes of that torture. 90minutes has become 2 hours, but who counts, right? and after that, since we did not want to buy anything they've forgotten of all the perks they've promised to us to attend the presentation. I really did not care much being happy that they left us alone, but my wife was pretty ticked off because of that, but of course, you could not find anyone anymore ALL OF THE SUDDEN, to find out what happened to all those promises. There was a humongous diesel truck doing something right on the beach all week. Listen, maybe the time to do things on the beach is in the off season??? There were 3 weddings in the hotel. 2 on the 3rd of July and one on the 4th. So, with all the brides, grooms, bridesmaids and best men all over the place the hotel looked like a Zoo. Beisdes the fact that most of them and their invited friends were so drunk that instances of people being completely out of comtrol were just as common as the birds and lizards trying to snatch things out of your plate. Staff did not pay much attention to all of that. One thing about the staff. On their website they say that ALL, I repeat, ALL of the staff members are bilingual. Yea, right. The entertainment group weren't very good. They were so lame, people did not even want to bother to pay attention to them. Drinks in the bar were OK as long as you would tell the bartender Exactly! what you want.

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon to Dream, Cabo San Lucas. We had an excellent time. It was SO relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Anything and everything you wanted was right at your fingertips. The food was great. There was a wide veriety to choose from. We only had to wait one time for a table at dinner and that was at the Asian restaurant. I think breakfast at the Seaside Grill was the BEST. Dennis was our favorite bartender. He is located down at the beach bar. The room was as cold as Alaska in the winter. We LOVED it! The beach was also nice but you could not swim in the ocean because of the current. I wish I had taken more pictures of the ocean. The water was beautiful. This resort was a quiet, relaxing place to go to enjoy one another. We will definitely go back!!

AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! (from a picky traveler!)

My husband and I just got back from Dreams yesterday (we went with another couple). It was by far our BEST vacation we have ever experienced. And somehow, it was the least expensive one we have ever been on!!! Our friends also got engaged there this week. Quick Summary: - Absolutely beautiful, VERY CLEAN, well maintained rooms and property (all part of a 3.5 million dollar renovation in 2008). - Food was fantastic! So much more than I expected from an all-inclusive. We are from the NYC area and are pretty picky eaters! The Asian Restaurant "Himitsu" was OUTSTANDING! El Patio breakfast buffet was fantastic and featured a beautiful "patio" outdoors overlooking the ocean. I recommend eating breakfast there every day if possible! - 24 hour room service was a GREAT bonus! Very good food. Takes about 40 minutes to an hour, but that is to be expected. Mexican tortilla soup, nachos and veggie omelet were great! - Hotel staff is amazing. They greet you with cold towels and champagne upon arrival. They are friendly and EXTREMELY accommodating. Can't say enough nice things about the staff. - 2 pools are great (the main pool and the "quiet" pool). Both are beautiful and clean, and have swim up bars and food service. The "quiet" pool plays very calming spa-like music all day long. It was unbelievably relaxing. The main pool hosted lots of activities (water volleyball, contests, etc). - Many activities available (only if you want!) for children and adults. Seems to be great for couples and/or families. - Went to the marina one day. Rented a private glass bottom boat to see the "arch and lovers beach. BEST thing we did the whole week. You MUST do this in cabo! Ran out of room for the review! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Beautiful hotel, food is lacking, cell phone stolen

The hotel was beautiful, but my cell phone and charger was stolen out of my purse, which was in my carry on bag, which was in my suitcase. I din't realize this until I had already gotten to the airport to fly home. Earlier in my trip I had walked by the front desk and there was a lady crying because all of her jewelry was stolen. I used the safe in my room for my wallet, passport, and jewelry. The room was great, the view was great, and everything was very clean. The food is pretty bad, but you can't expect much from an all inclusive place. I won't stay here again, but i would suggest to anyone wanting to stay here to use the safe for everything.

When we booked this vacation, I was worried about some of the reviews I read about the resort. We had a great time at Dreams Resorts in Cabos. I would definitely do it again or visit another Dreams resort. The staff was really friendly. Food was great. There is tons of activities you can join, or you can hang out at the quiet pool for relaxation. The walk on the beach was incredible. The room we stayed in had an incredible view, I think every room I checked out (friends stayed at) had a great view. So you can't go wrong. This was our first ALL INCLUSIVE vacation and it was worth it. We tipped our staff on occasion, but I made sure I gave the ones I liked most a good tip the day we were leaving. If you can, stay at the resort on Whale Season. We saw the whales everyday. It was incredible. Trust me, you will enjoy it and will miss it when you leave!!
