A beautiful Hacienda - Bienvenida, Mexican style

The Hacienda Jurica is a stunning Mexican hotel. The lobby is spacious and grand - the personnel are friendly and accommodating. There are numerous courtyard areas with seating, fountains or orange tree groves. The grounds are large and welcoming with tennis, basketball, mini-golf (the course could use some upkeep) and horse stables for riding on hotel grounds. The restaurant is lovely with good cuisine and the pool area and poolside restaurant service is wonderful as well. The staff were always prompt in cleaning and preparing rooms and they were always kind and hospitable. There is also a children's play area near the pool that our children enjoyed. We will stay there again and would recommend this hotel to any traveler that enjoys the cultures of the countries that they travel to. Our only suggestion is to make sure you know the prices of the hotel laundry service before you order the service. Although the service was exemplary the price was astronomical! There are other laundry service businesses in the area that are much less expensive.

Best Things Nearby:
In downtown Queretaro, were you can do some handcraft shopping, look at some art galleries, or even at visit some antique galleries. After a walk around, you can get a mantecado, an ice cream made of butter and some other things -- it tastes great!

Best Things About the Resort:
The pool area is clean and spacious. The units are big with two double beds and all face the main patio where there’s a fountain and carriages on exhibit.

Resort Experience:
The resort was made of volcanic stone more than 80 years ago, but now it’s just a hotel. They offer horseback riding on-site -- they will guide you through all over the place so you can get to know the area. Also, the spa is very well equipped -- it's a little expensive, but I think it’s worth it. The hotel is family friendly. It's a small resort, but it has everything onsite.

The rooms are very spacious, luxurious, comfortable, and pretty clean. They are very private and quiet, which is good for resting. The staff is very kind.

Nice place! Staff is friendly and there are a lot of things on site (horseback riding, basketball, volleyball, mini-golf, pool, squash, ping-pong and more!).

The restaurants on site are fine but the food is not the best. And the waiters we got were not very friendly or helpful. The rest of the staff were great and the check-in and out process was very quick.

We got four hotel units, each had either a king bed or two double beds in the unit, full bathroom, TV and a minibar. Everything was in good shape and the unit size was good for a hotel unit.

I really recommend this resort, it is very complete and it is very nice because it is an ex-hacienda type hotel. The resort is in Jurica, a very nice residential area with big houses.

182 luxury rooms, including Suites with an exquisite colonial decor, some of if with real antiques. Ample settings and some of them with a gorgeous look to the swimming pool or the richly kept lawns and gardens, Hacienda style.
