This property we have stayed at 6 times!! It gets better every time. Some people gripe that it isn't "Directly ON the beach"t; but for the price, you can't beat it!! And all you have to do is cross the street and your at the beach!!!! And you've saved a ton of money and still have a great room! Love the staff too!!! In all the time we and our friends have come here, it's been the same staff so it's even greater!

Stayed here week of April 25th. Great service. We were upgraded to a Superior Room with an ajoining room so we could be close to our daughter's room. Grounds were beautiful. We were there to scuba dive. Loved location to Dive Shop and pier and Dive Mau gave us the best deal and the best divemaster "Monkey". Room was spacious and clean. Bottled water available and free. Maid service was VG. Not too impressed with onsite restaurant: Charged for hot water, rarely ate there. Would definitely return to this hotel. Free parking. Bring hairdryer.

The hotel is a cheap diving hotel. I really liked SCUBA Mau dive shop. Mau and his master divers are all friendly and help you will all equipment. If you dive with them you get unlimited free shore diving (tank & weight). The snorkeling is just OK around the hotel. Go down to Hotel Cozumel for the best snorkeling. The Villablanca has good AC and small refrigerators. The only problem I had with this hotel is the noise. I heard people walking above me and out on the sidewalk. There is no glass in the main window (just shudders). It is a 35 min. walk to the main square in town. The walk is not bad because there is a jogging path right along the ocean.

My husband and I stayed Jan 2- 9-09 and we loved it! The staff upgraded our room for free and we had a great view. For the price it is well worth it. You can also snorkel right across the street at the beach and the boats for water activites pick you up right there on the piers. We loved it and already booked a trip for May.
We'll be back for sure!

My husband, 23yr old daughter and I stayed at Villablanca 2/19/09-3/01/09.
We had a great time. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to everything. The beach bar and snorkeling right across the street was very nice. We had all the hot water we needed when we needed it. The AC worked really well. The beds and pillows are a bit hard but we were so tired at night it didn't matter.
The hotel staff was very helpful we never had a problem.
We ate two nights at the restaurant ... ask for the coconut ice cream with the special sauce ..its to die for!!!
The only complaint we had was the hot tub wasn't always hot and one night it wasn't very clean but it looked like they were working on it.
This was our second stay at VB and will definetly stay again!
