Moon Palace & Golf Resort

We LOVED the Moon Palace. It was an awesome experience and I would recommend anyone going to Cancun stay there at least once. We stayed in the Golf Villas overlooking the golf course. The best part about that was we were given our own golf cart to drive around for the week when we checked in. We had a blast and didn't have to wait for shuttles or rides when going to the Sunrise or Nizuc lobbies. There was also basically a drive-up bar in between our villas and the lobbies that we could stop at from 7:00 in the morning until about 11:00 at night. Their pools were fabulous, service was excellent and we had no complaints on any of the restaurants we visited. We went with 2 other couples who were also quite satisfied. My only complaint was the weather in November wasn't as warm as I would have liked, but obviously that had nothing to do with the resort. I would even recommend attending the time share presentation as it gave my husband 2 free rounds of golf and myself a $100 credit for the spa (on top of the $100 I already had from booking). It was a great week and one I will always remember.

If you want a memorable stay, this is it

I've been to the Cancun and Rivera Maya area 9 time over the past 15 years and the Palace Resorts are always the best ... Xpu-Ha (another Palace Resorts down the highway) was my all time favorite, sadly it is no longer the resort that is was before hurricane Wilma. My most recent stay, at Moon Palace in June 2008, was excellent (as I expected). Unlike other hotels in Cancun proper, Moon Palace was not over-run with too many young people in a drunken state distributing my vacation. I found there was an easy relaxed pace about my stay here. The food available at all the restaurants was very good, some even first class. One night we had room service and we the service and food to be very good. Unlike some of my previous trips to other hotels in the area, the bartenders here didn't short me on the alcohol. As a matter of fact, by my 7th day, I got my drink in a cup that was larger than what I got when I first arrived. I admit, I made an effort to get to know the staff, speak in my feeble spanish and gave a tip or two - it helped. Bottom-line, the Palace Resorts are not the least expensive, but I always got more than what I paid and expected.

Great Place to stay

Came here for my best friend's wedding in late June. The resort was amazing from the staff to the restaurants. The beaches were great and the in room spas were amazing. You never felt unsafe at night. Would highly reccommend this place to all who travel to mexico.

We came here for a wedding, and it was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed! The staff was more than accomidating, they went out of their way to do whatever we needed. The room was very large with an amazing full view of the ocean. The room was also very clean. Our mini bar was stocked every day. The beds however were not to comfortable, but the jacuzzi soak looking directly into the ocean made up for it. I did not know that there was a difference between ocean front rooms and ocean view rooms, but there is and the front desk staff explained this to us and put us in an ocean front room, ocean view rooms are rooms that you may have to look to the left or right to see the ocean. Ocean front is right on the ocean, amazing!! Resort is close to the airport, about 15 minutes, activities were further some were a couple of hours away, so prepare yourself for a little ride. I recommend this resort to anyone who's looking for an amazingly beautiful vacation.
