Not worth the money

Hotel rooms were small and uncomfortable, beds hard, service poor, buffet food not very good and all taste the same. I do not think this hotel is worth the price they charge and would not stay there again. It is also in a very isolated location and it is difficult to see "real Mexico"; if you only want to hide out in a fake resort and not see the real people of the country, this might be the place for you.

This is a definate 5 star resort. Gorgeous throughout, extremelly clean and top of the line amenities.... Love it...
The only draw back, although they have a very large beach you cannot go in it because it is the resort was done on a seaweed bank... but they make up for it with their huge pool... that is the only drawback of the resort....
But everything else is total exceptional.

It was an almost perfect vacation with our family over Thanksgiving. We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday. Our grandchildren ranged in age from 8-14 and there was plenty for them to do. We have stayed in many Ritz-Carltons and none treated us the way the hotel staff and servers did! We are so positive on this hotel that we would recommend it to anyone.
The only complaint we had was a mix-up on what we were told by people in the hotel as to dress code for our 14 year old. We went to the Trattoria Restaurant at the golfclub and the hostess was very rude in telling us that he could not go in. We could see people inside the restaurant in jeans and sweatpants, yet Lacoste collared shirt and long madras bermuda shorts were not dress code! When we asked to see the manager, she backed down and let us be seated. It was my husband's birthday celebration, and they seated our grandchildren several tables away from us. There were 14 people in this party, and it was a disappointment not to be seated together...there was a party of 14 near us and we noticed that the man had slipped the people some money and got the table intended for us.
We decided not to let this aggravation ruin our evening and we did have a fun dinner. Our server was exceptional...thefood very mediocre.
We took this group to Turks and Caicos "Beaches "and felt that this compared favorably. The Beaches hotel had a better beach but that was about all.
Every person who served us was so polite and pleasant. The drink man on the beach was so highly intelligent, that we enjoyed conversations in Spanish as well as god English.

Very happy with hotel. Great for kids. All inclusive had great food. The pools were beautiful but a bit chilly. The room was gorgeous, loved the tub and view. Only drawback was the seaweed at the beach but we knew about it before hand. Would definitely go back.
