Cancun Moon Palace

The hotel was very nice along with the spa and pools; service staff very accommodating. The hotel is far from town which is an expensive cab ride ($28/each way or $56 round trip). The food in all buffets and a la carte restaurants was absolutely horrible; very disappointing. The food was bland, cold, old, poor quality and the same day to day. We would've returned; however, b/c of the food, we will not. We also felt very pressured to book extra tours with Olympus and the hotel staff.

Never wanted to leave, want to go back!

This was a honeymoon for everyone! The room was spacious and wonderfully clean on the first floor with a view of the pool. I took a picture from our balcony and friends think it is a postcard! The maid service made us towel animals almost every night. The only restaurant we went to was the bar-b-que by the pool because it was so good and things were too beautiful to go inside. We had to force ourselves to visit Xcaret but it was worth it. The bus ride there was a little long but we shared a van with other guests for the return trip and it was better. Xcaret is a little pricey but I would say a must-do for your first visit, I also swam with the dolphins! We also went on a catamaran for some snorkeling on the reef for a beautiful day. Room service was prompt and the food excellent (we ate breakfast in every day) and any time you needed anything extra it was delivered in a timely manner. The worst I can say about the resort is that after you order room service the front desk calls to make sure you are happy. The employees were always friendly and ready with an 'hola'! Even though you are about 1/2 hour from town there is a shuttle and being a little isolated you do not have to put up with hotels right next to each other as they are in Cancun proper. Cannot WAIT to visit again! If you don't like this resort you are just looking for something to complain about!

Great Experiance

Hotel rooms very clean and comfortable. Best service I have ever experienced compared to Bahamas, Jamacia, Costa Rica, Margrita Island. Food good, Drinks good. Beach has some sea grass that washes up, but no real problem, we enjoyed the ocean. We went with our daughters 8 & 10, they had a blast and were treated great by the staff. Well worth the money. We rented a car, big waste of money, hotel has tours everywhere and they are INCLUDED.

excellente!!!

the service at moon palace was exceptional. each staff member made it seem that it really was "their pleasure" to help and serve the guests. they were incredibly nice and very trustworthy. we accidentally let all of our cash out on a table one afternoon and upon returning after maid service found every dollar still there. food was fine at the buffets, but the a la carte dinners were better. drinks were very good and were flowing throughout the trip. rooms were spacious, very clean and well maintained. the spa was wonderful and really state of the art with the hydrotherapy section. the villas on the golf course were very private and had golf carts available to guests which made navigating the huge grounds very easy. and the variety of free trips and tours were more than we had expected. we are definitely going back, many more times!!!

Better than all the rest!!! This is the place!!!

my husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and fell in love with the resort as well as the service. It doesn't get any better than the moon palace. if you want to walk you may but if not there are several golf carts with people driving you to your room, pool, lobby, a restaurant were ever you need to go on the property. staff is increditable friendly and helpful. We conceived are first child there thanks to isla mujeres after trying for seven years. We took our son there with us when he was 18mths and he had a wonderful time as well. Great place for family couples and have watched beautiful weddings take place here.Take advantage of the free tours they're awesome take a large brimmed hat lite though. On tours make sure and bring sunscreen dress lite. Food is excellent lots of choices probably too many choices actually. Can't brag on this place enough. we have traveled all over and have never had treatment this wonderful...
