The hotel held up to the standards I expected. The room service was prompt, the staff was friendly, the maid service took care of business. What a great environment!! On one hand, if it was quiet you wanted it was there. On the other if you wanted to break out and have fun there was plenty of it. The food was good overall and plenty of it!!! The bus service between hotels was prompt, clean and comfortable. Overall it was a great experience and a wonderful hotel. I would go back again.

The WORST trip ever!

We stayed in what they call "the villas" where you are given a golf cart because it is about 5-10 minutes away from the building itself. On our second night of a 5-day trip my Wife and I were driving back to our room; and because in Mexico they allow wildlife to roam freely we had what they call there a form of a "racoon" jump out in front of our cart and at that moment we drove off the path and hit a pole, I remember putting my arm out due to the fact that golf carts are not equipped with seat belts, and so my Wife and I were bruised but I had a lot of pain in my right arm, so we drove very slow the rest of the way to the room and immediately called for help when we arrived. It seemed that their staff were not sure of what to do, they called a supervisor which seemed to just care for the condition of the golf cart, and making sure that we signed and filled out paperwork for their liability purposes, while I am sitting there with pain in my arm?? We were sent in a taxi at around 1am to some Mexican Clinic downtown somewhere, we ended up paying for the taxi both ways, the emergency visit, the medication, their property damage and the golf cart repairs??? At NO moment did anyone at the beginning or at ANY moment feel any compassion or ask if we needed any support or assistance of ANY kind?? We felt as if we were on our OWN from the moment this incident happened until we left. What was even worse is we became members that same day that the incident took place, which we cancelled.

We just came back from this resort and loved it, the rooms and resort were very clean, there were people cleaning 24/7 . everything was included , we did leave tips ones and twos they seemed to really appreciate that and the people were extremely nice and always smiling. the pool was huge. The property is gigantic, takes about 15 mins to walk from one resort to the next. There are two sections Sunrise and Nziuc. Sunrise is alittle bigger and has alittle more to do there. The spa is separate from resort you have to take a shuttle there but only takes about 10 mins. Well worth it though. My daughter brought her friend and they had a blast, we spent most of the days in the pool. The food was very good for all inclusive, weve stayed at beaches before and we felt that the food at moon palace was so much better, and fresher. we would definately stay at this property again, our only regret was not doing any of the exursions or shopping. next time snorkeling is on our list of things to do.

Went Twice and Would Definitely Go Back!

I just got back from my second week-vacation at Moon Palace Sunrise and I loved everything about it and wish I was still there. All of the staff is extremely friendly and willing to help you all the time. The food is great and there are tons of places to eat. My personal favorite would have to be the Italian restaurant on the golf course and La Gondola (in the lobby, definitely the best for breakfast and Italian buffet at night.)
As for tours, I would strongly recommend anyone going here to go to Holkan Kingdom, the adventure park across the street from Moon Palace. It was my favorite part of the vacation. The zipline was incredible and the ATV's and the Shotover Jet were just as fun. It was by far my favorite day all week and I would've done it every day if I could've. If you want to do horseback riding, do it at Loma Bonita - I've done that tour three times and it's my favorite riding place out of all the vacations I've been on (I ride and own horses at home so I find a place to go horseback riding every vacation, wherever we go.) Wet n' Wild is a good day trip, the dolphin swim is the best part so definitely try to do that.
The pool is one of the largest in Cancun and is never too crowded because of it's size. The rooms are nice and anything you need only requires a call with the press of one button on your phone.
The worst part of this trip was leaving - just the fact that I didn't want to leave! I hated coming home and I wish I could've stayed. Next year, we may try out the Moon Palace in Dominican Republic, but I hope that I can go back to Sunrise in the future!
