Hotel is old, rooms are larger than average, however furntiure are old, sofa was full of stains, decorative pillows with bad odors, carpet between the 2 beds was dirty, towels were old and not soft, food are expensive, for 2 coffees, orange juice & 6 slices of toasted bread we paid 30.00 usd, there are better options in PVR

If you like a more private beach, beautiful views, and warm and friendly staff - this place is for you. The front desk was very helpful. Our room was kept very clean. We told our maid about a light that went out in the bathroom and it was fixed immediantly. Morning and evening room service was quick. The guacamole is incredible! Flowers everywhere. Very nice grounds. Downtown is a 7min taxi or bus ride away. It was very nice to visit the busy downtown area, then go back to our quiet room and sleep like a baby. I'd go back tomorrow!
The only thing that bothered us slightly was the firmness of our bed - a bit more firm than I'm used to.
bad.....

In over 25 trips to Mexico this was the worst experience we ever had. They embarrassed us in front of our realtor saying he could not go to our room. Raised there voices at me in front of other guests. Half the services did not work. Internet was out even though they charged us. Our cards would not get us into the business center or gym as promised. We were told we had to pay a $16 dollar a day resort fee, when asked what for, "just because". No manager was ever available to speak to us day or night. the room was never really clean. we opened a mirrored door that had a 2 ft diameter pipe behind it that you could hear stuff draining into in the night. Very rude night security and front desk person. We will never go back
The costs----THE HIDDEN TAXES!

I stay in a lot of Intercontinental hotels and because of this always get up-graded to a suite and have free mini bar drinks. I stayed here last month 10/2008 and booked on-line with a $* per night rate. I have stayed here before and enjoyed it. When I was checking out I was charged about $* more than I should have because of the taxes that was not mentioned on the internet or when you check in.
BE PREPARED TO PAY A LOT MORE WHEN CHECKING OUT!
Also the food is terrible! $20.00 for breakfast? A few eggs and (fresh fruit?). The fruit was old and a lot of bugs on the table!-----------------DO NOT EAT THERE!

We enjoyed ourselves. This is a very nice hotel, it is very clean and they work non-stop maintaining it. The service is wonderful, the staff was very conscientious and concerned that their guests have a good time. The food is exceptional, we made sure they knew that. The only negative thing for us when we arrived was we were informed that there is an additional $30.00 a day resort fee. That amounted to over $200.00. This information was not provided by the online travel website. Neither is it on the hotel web site. We would have liked to spend that money in a different way. The hotel took us back to the airport free of charge when we left. That was their way of apologizing for the extra daily fee.
