This is one of the nicest resorts we've ever stayed at, with the friendliest staff. We were married here and had a group of over 50 with us. After months of planning we finally arrived and were amazed at how beautiful everything was in person. From the time you enter the Cabo del Sol property, the views are breathtaking. The grounds were immaculate. The staff was very friendly, from the bellmen, the concierge, and restaurants, to the gardeners. The rooms, while not overly spacious, are clean and have a nice layout. The balconies are very nice to have. We had our reception at D'Cortez and also ate there one night. They were two of the best meals we had on our vacation! (A close second was at La Dolce in CSL, a little Italian restaurant that you can take your favorite wine to). We still hear from everyone how great the food was at the reception and how much they loved the resort. The poolside bars seemed to close early, so we usually took cabs into town for dinner and drinks. Each pool had different happy hour specials at different times which was fun. If you're adventurous, renting a car would be worth the money. Beware as the driving is scary there, but convenience and cost are key. The hotel is closer to CSL, the downtown area, where we went to almost daily--either for day trip excursions, lunch, shopping, or dinner/dancing. There is a Costco (although no fridge for drinks, for which we bought a styrofoam cooler and filled with ice every night which worked very well). The pools and beach were beautiful. No ocean swimming but did some fishing from the beach. We loved Cabo and The Sheraton, and just booked our return trip for our anniversary!
Spanish Style Oasis of Luxury

From the moment we entered this highly secured Spanish style oasis of luxury we felt at home. The entire property is surrounded by a variety of tropical vegitation of colorful flowers and analogous green gardens that pop out in front of the roman arches that decorate each and every building. The staff converese well in English and are not trying to turn you upside down to shake you loose of any dollars or pesos. You're made to feel comfortable and at ease, although they are helpful with any questions/concerns you have. Being a Starwood Preferred Guest, we were upgraded from a garden view to an ocean view in a suite. The view was spectacular from the secluded balcony adjoing our room. The highlights were the endless views of the white sand beach, although the shore break made it hard to enjoy a swim. However, a taxi for up to 4 people can take you to Chileno Playa (beach) for about 140 pesos each way, so invite some other guests and share the expense. There is no taxi service from Chileno Beach back to the hotel so be sure to pre-arrange your ride. At Chileno there are snorkeling and kayaks for rent and you can bargain, as we got two snorkel gears for 200 pesos for a few hours. Be sure to leave your valuables behind and bring some snacks and cold beverages. The biggest highlight was "Pitaya" restuarant. The menu consists of pacific rim quisine, a blend of surf and turf that will tease and taunt your taste buds for months on end. Every seat in the house has a spectacular view of the ocean. Go just a little before sunset and request seating at the end closest to the golf course. You won't regret it. Buena suerte!!!

Gorgeous hotel - the grounds are amazing - with very nice, comfortable rooms. Some views are better than others, as mine looked almost directly at another building. Pool area is very nice, looking out over the water. Some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. Looking forward to another visit.

Our first trip to Cabo included our stay at the Hacienda Del Mar. This hotel is located in the Corridor, closer to Cabo San Lucas. It is probably the largest of the hotel resorts in the area, boasting what appeared to be more pools, restaurants and square footage than any other location. It is also secluded, having it's own beach that was not accesible from other hotels and directly next to Cabo Del Sol golf course - potentially the best holes on the peninsula. While there may not be one (1) specific things that may be considered the "BEST" (although the landscaping is fantastic and meticulously maintained), the shear size and diversity of the place may make it one of the best overall experiences in Cabo. The dining is great, as Pitahayas is considered one of the best around and the setting is great, but there are other lesser known restaurants that also hold their own.
The rooms are nice, but if you are travelling through a timeshare, you may not be able to experience the best of the lot. There are adult and kids pools, activity pools, infinity pools (2) and swim up bars. the gym is adequate and the beach is extensive.
if you need night life, then head directly into cabo and if you need daily water activities, this may also not be your place. however, the diversity and expanse of the resort, the friendiness of the staff and the onsite dining were great - we truly enjoyed the place.
Also, if you stay, we highly recommend a car rental.

We have a time share at this particular resort, and I am extremely happy with the service and cleanliness of the resort. Also there is a gym and spa available onsite. There is also three different restaurants that offer a variety of foods at many different prices. The most amazing restaurant is the one under the giant palapa, the dining there is unbelievable. The pools are all clean and cool and the beach is beautiful! I love this resort, this was our first timeshare in Cabo and I like it more than our other one. We still have both.
