Wonderful Vacation !!

In April my wife and I went to Cozumel Mexico for our vacation. We have been going to Cozumel for over twenty years and have stayed in many hotels on our various trips.
When we checked in at El Cid La Ceiba hotel we were met with a welcome drink and the genuine welcome of the desk staff. While at this hotel we were always treated to good service and friendly hospitality. The staff all wanted us to have a great stay there and we did .
The restaurant is wonderful . The food is excellent and the staff of the restaurant are both competent and friendly. They almost make you feel like a loved family member .
We had a wonderful stay and will go back again and again.
you will enjoy yourself here!

you can not go wrong choosing to stay here. you receive such personal, warm, friendly, sincere service. from everyone.
the facilities are absolutely gorgeous.....gardens, plants, walkways. the beach area is large, and there are normally always enough chairs and palapas for everyone; there is also a fantastic little cove with a wonderful waterfall to relax by. the rooms are cleaner than clean. the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, right out open on the water. and the waiters and captain and staff there are incredibly professional, but at the same time so kind and friendly. they really make you feel like family.
the rest of the staff at the hotel-front desk, office, maids, landscapers, kitchen---everyone else is the same way---they can not do enough for you, and all they want is to make sure everything is going okay and that you have a wonderful time.
i guess the best recommendation i can give is that i started coming to this hotel in 1987, and i am still coming back! you will have a marvelous time at la ceiba.

OMG what a wonderful place! From the landing to the end, it was an amazing time, we stayed for 10 days, and loved each day. The people at el Cid were wonderful, our housekeeper, Marcelina was the best. Every day she stopped to say hi, (we did not want cleaning everyday, we like to save water!) But she came by just to make me the "cortesia" the towel animals. The general manager was very attentive as well and always on top of things. The people at the time share area were also amazing. We did just have one small incident with the bartenders, but we just did not come back to their bar to avoid confrontation (they were the only rude ones we bumped to) The people around the island were very pleasant, everyone was just so happy. The food is great, beautiful waters, great Margaritas, and good ceviches. It was their low season but yet everyone managed to make us feel very, very special. Enjoy your trip to Cozumel, and definately choose el Cid! Gracias Cozumel-Aragundi

The hotel is nice, but somewhat annoying to have a massive cruise ship sitting right in front of your hotel, blocking your view.

We love this hotel (before the hurricane and after)~the staff and rooms are beautiful! Our room had a small kitchette, 2 full baths, great king size bed :) and pull down Murphy for guests. Many times I felt like we were the only people at the hotel! It was incredible, very private and few crowds! I can't say anything but how wonderful this hotel is...stay in the tower where the best views are :)
