My 5 year anniversary!

I just recently got back from our trip to Cabo and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The hotel is very beautiful and as private as can be for Mexico. The only things I would say is that it is overpriced; as is everything in Cabo so be ready to spend some money. I also don't believe they offer enough food options at Estancia but you can go to the two hotels next door to eat. When you arrive at the hotel they offer you all-inclusive which is $84 per person each day! I highly recommend you do this but what we didn't do and should have is go through the 90 min. time share presentation; they will pay for your breakfast and you will have an all-inclusive pass to the two other hotels as well. You of course don't have to do the time-share, just go through the presentation and say no. They also give you discounts on many other activities, cruises, etc. I also highly recommend Pisces fishing if you like to deep sea fish. They are very good and it was a lot of fun! Eat at Captain Fish; it's excellent! Also the ATV tours are very fun but my husband and I took a Rhino instead of the 4-wheelers. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I loved the hotel.

We got "stuck" at La Estancia because we were told our reserved room at Villa del Arco was not available. We knew this would happen since we read other reviews prior to going. We were ultimately very happy with La Estancia. These are partial owner villas (quarterly ownership up to full ownership) and you won't be bothered as much by the time share people. Villa del Arco is solely a time share resort. Pool was quiet and not as many teens running around. Vendors on beach weren't too bad and they even have a rope that keeps them from coming over to your lounge chair if you're hanging out on the beach. I would definitely recommend this resort.
Great hotel, housekeeping so-so

Our only complaint about this beautiful facility was that the housekeeping was inconsistent. Some days the hide-a-bed was made and put away, some not. Some days we had hand towels, some not. Some days they left us water bottles at turn down, some not. Most days our room was cleaned about 4 or 5 in the afternoon which made it difficult to get ready for evening activities.
Also the prices in the deli/grocery store were OUTRAGEOUS!! $7 for a box of cereal?? $10 for a turkey sandwich??
Otherwise, the hotel, pool and adjacent beach are wonderful and the staff usually friendly and helpful.
Lovely place, if you ask for a mattress pad!

The resort is lovely. But do not be misled (as we were) about it being an all-suite hotel. We thought we were getting a suite but it was the usual hotel room size with two beds. All the rooms can be suites but they can also be divided. If you want a ask book a one-bedroom room.
Beds are very hard but if you ask for an extra foam pad they will give you one which makes the bed really nice. The food is good though expensive. The staff was very friendly, very helpful. Beach is nice too. There's not a lot to do but relax. I'd recommend getting a car to explore the area. In town, have dinner at Mi Casa where the chicken mole and the stuffed poblano are both exceptional. It's a couple of miles to walk or a $7 taxi.
