Perfect place to stay

Spacious and clean rooms (housekeeping even make animals with the towels!), friendly staff (X makes the best Mojitos at the pool bar), perfect location (away from the craziness of the beachfront bars), beautiful views, walking distance to town, but easier to take the $7 cab ride. A must stay for a relaxing getaway.

the accomodations are lovely...a beautiful setting overlooking the Sea of Cortez at the Arch The service was excellent with it's own 4 star restaurant on the property. The use of the partner hotel and Spa was an added treat. This was my third stay at La Estancia. I would go back

Amazing Honeymoon!

My husband and I stayed in a huge one bedroom villa for our honeymoon and it was paradise! There was a dining room, kitchen, living room, two bathrooms, huge bedroom with an additional couch and TV, jet tub, individual sinks, tons of closet space, digital lock box, and a gorgeous balcony! The hotel was very classy, extremely clean, and way beyond our expectations! Service from the hotel staff was top notch! We were treated like royalty! The hotel sits right on the beach and chairs are provided for you. The only complaint I have about the beach is that peddlers are walking up and down the beach trying to sell you something. Every two to three minutes we had someone come up to us to sell us nick nacks. There was no rest on the beach! However we spent most of our time at one of the three beautiful cascading pools! You have to get there early to get a chair because people would put towels down to save them and wouldn't show up til mid afternoon! The La Casona restaurant had incredible breakfast food. Had we not been given complimentary breakfast as part of our package, it would have been $40 per person per day! The restaurants are pretty pricey, but delicious! I also was able to venture over to the spa at one of the connecting hotels, the Villa Del Arco, and it was the most amazing spa I've ever been to! The only thing I wish were different from a honeymooner perspective was for the hotel to be adults only. There were several kids there and that made it difficult to rest. Other than that we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a romantic getaway in paradise!

This is a very upscale property at, at least for us, a very low price on our early December, 2008 visit. We booked a one bedroom hotel room, which would have been fine. All rooms have views of the ocean. We were upgraded at no cost to a one bedroom suite with full kitchen and two baths .We were told the upgrade was that they liked to take care of Travelocity customers. The property is beach side with a great view. It is within easy walking distance to added beachside restaurants and bars. A little longer walk or $7 taxi to downtown Cabo. A large multi-level pool with swim up bar. Primarily for adults although sister adjoining properties cater to families. With respect to some mentioned negatives, it is a fractional ownership property. You will be asked if you want a tour and will be offerred some incentives including a 15% discount card for hotel meals etc and including some discounts in town. We didn't do the tour and were not pressured to do so. Our friends did take the tour and said it was low key. The drinks and ,food especially, are expensive at the hotel. There are lots of less expemsive options in town and on the beach.

I read all the reviews for this place and they were mostly true. It was a great hotel with a great staff. Centrally located and a swimmable beach. No pushy timeshare sales and their prizes weren't that great.
