Perfect peaceful location, professional helpful and friendly staff , five star hotel, comfortable clean rooms, not to be missed amenities is just what made my vacation . This is one of my best vacation so far. I like the location best because it's not located next to hotels that can crowd the streets. It is next to the zoo, the tiergarten, kadewe, kudam and just close to all major tourist attractions. Transportation is few minutes walk from hotel - the S Bahn, U Bahn, buses stop in front of hotel from airport, taxis available outside hotel , you can connect to ICE train just a few stops from S Bahn near hotel. After a full day of sightseeing or a night of partying you can come back relax and sleep in peace to this well appointed hotel.

Fabulous Hotel

If you want nice location, quality service, and great amenities then this hotel is for you. After your sightseeing and activities during the day you would want to come back to a nice relaxing hotel in a quiet street close to everything. Staff were all professional, nice and helpful. The amenities and hotel itself is adequate not over the top. You get good value of what you're paying for. A 10 .

I had very high expectations for this hotel. Me and my wife came here and while we were eating a cockroach came out of my lobster. When I asked a maid for a pillow she slapped me and said get your owm. The bathroom had rats and spiders every where. Please do not ever go to this hotel.

Sophisticated, High-end, Good Location, Newly Renovated and Great Staff

I used to have to stay in Berlin easily two weeks a year and, after discovering it thanks to a good friend's recommendation, I've only stayed at it.
This single hotel made me start using InterContinental for both my business and leasure trips.

The outside, like many other InterContinental Hotels, is not specially appealing (excluding the glass pyramid canopy at the entrance), but once inside, a world of space and luxury unravels.

The hall is so big you could celebrate state weddings inside. Clear geometrical-patterned marble slabs cover the floor.
Fine looking carpets below the comfortable seats in the hall give it a cozier atmosphere. Luxury can be sensed.
The front desk agents are friendly and professional. The kind of people that give the sensation that they like their work (whether they do or not is off the point).

The rooms, which have undergone a fantastic renovation in recent years, are spacious, very nicely decorated in dark-brown and light cream patterns and very well lit. They are kept meticulously clean and in perfect German-style order.
All rooms have their own a/c-heating controls, full minibar, desk and chair, one or two flatscreen televisions, hi-speed cable internet connections, really complete set of bathroom and bedroom amenities (ironically including a twist-me hand flare to provide light in case of any emergency that might cut the power off... reminiscence of the old 40's).

A very peculiar, funny at first but highly intelligent feature of the bedrooms is that the bathroom has a panel that can be turned around so that the bathroom's door connects either directly with the actual room/sleeping space or with the hall that leads from the room's door to the actual room/sleeping space, depending on the position.

The bar is nice, but the restaurant's little gardens are unbelievable and the restaurant's selection for breakfast is never-ending.

This is my first five-star choice in Berlin.

Other hotel features include:
24 hour room service
Bar and restaurant with a nice selection for breakfast and brunch
A very complete Spa and health facilities
Nice gym
Business centre and business services
Concierge and guest relations service
Concierge travell agency
In-hotel shops
Transportation from and to the airports upon request
Complementary newspaper upon request

Check-in time: 2.00pm

This Hotel impressed me, I was in Berlin some yeears ago and was disapointed by the Intercontinental, but now... They made one part new and it looks gorgeus. If you come to Berlin and to this Hotel, take time to use the Spa area.
