Weekend at the Trop

The Hotel was nice. we stayed in the havana tower on the 68th floor and we had a great view of the beach and Uptown AC. The Casino smells like cigarette smoke wherever you go and it is very expensive . But the Food was awesome the nightlife was really fun and there is always something to do there. The hotel is right on the boardwalk and 100 yds to the beach. All in all I would stay here again and if I stayed during the week I probably would have liked it more.

I read all the reviews and those who knock this place probably lost in the casino. Check in was smooth and easy. Our room in the west tower was large and certainly clean with wonderful beds. The staff was courteous, and the room was cleaned every day on time. The outdoor pool is a bit small, but so are most of the other AC hotels, so we took in the beach which was just fine. With a few exceptions the dining choices are fantastic. We were going to stay 3 full days, but 3 hours after 11 AM check out on day 3 we had to leave, and the clerk didnt charge us for the last day even though they could have. Some knocks though- no security at the elevators, and the 24 hr coffee shop was way to slow to serve the food. But for $ a night in mid-July, this was a great deal. I recommend the Tropicana anytime

We stayed here for our 25th anniversary, when we arrived we were upgraded to a oceanfront suite at no extra cost. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly, check in and check out were quick. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would stay there again.

The Tropicana is a good place to stay if you want a clean, well-maintained room at an affordable price. The bed was very comfortable, I had a great view of the ocean, the maid service was good, and the room was airy and pleasant. This was a standard room. The staff were professional, courteous, and got me in and out promptly. Granted, I was travelling in the off-season, but I still expect the service to be on the ball, and it was.
