The Hotel was very very nice but the elevators were horrible. It took forever to get to anf rom your room. The only time we had no problems with the elevators were early in the morning, otherwise they were times we had to wait a half hour to get up to our room.

Fine Hotel especially for the money

I have stayed at the Trop 5 times in the last 2 years. It is always fine. I enjoyed my stay this time. The only problem is that my first night they were overbooked and they put me in a room with only a couch bed for the first night.

This is the only hotel I stay in...

I have stayed at the Tropicana at least 20 times over the past few years. It is one of the first casinos I ever stayed in. I have never had any problems with room cleanliness, the beds are super comfortable and the staff has always been more than accomodating. After you stay here a few times, you are always receiving discount room rates with free breakfast offers. The breakfast buffets are good. My only complaint would be against the restaurant "A Dam Good Sports Bar". It was our first time trying a restaurant inside the hotel, and it was awful. Service, drinks, food, awful!! The new shops are nice and not too pricey. I would recommend staying here to anyone. I am a picky person, and I think this place is great! LIke I said, I never had any problems. Always a nice experience.

great rooms, awful elevator.

very beautiful hotel, our room was exceptionally priced with a great view. but i feel as if the hotel was very understaffed. we went to check in our room at 3 on the dot and there was an awful line of at least 60 people. we came back two hours later; checked in promptly however had an elevator line that was out of control. we decided to take the steps, but there are no direct steps to the hotel rooms. we ended up sneaking up some of the fire escape steps only to get entered in to the parking garage. it took at least forty five minutes to get upstairs. once we got there, we were pleasantly surprised as our room was exceptional. just the elevator problem was more than frustrating.

DO NOT STAY HERE--Worst Hotel Experience I've Ever Had

My friends and I stayed at Tropicana for a weekend getaway. We booked 3 rooms and spent a lot on our stay. The following is what happened and is a completely unacceptable experience for the amount we paid. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. We checked into 2 of our 3 rooms in the afternoon. The third room was checked into during the evening when the rest of our party arrived. When they got to that room, the room was a mess. There were dirty linens all over the place and even more disturbing, there was VOMIT all over the bathroom. It is one thing if the hotel gave us a room they had not cleaned, however the beds had been made meaning they had half-cleaned the room and neglected to do the rest or tell the front desk about it. The front desk told us that we would be switched to another room and that our bags would be moved by the bellman while we were at dinner. That did not happen and when we got back to our room at 3 AM, we had to deal with getting our bags delivered. Then, the next day we went for a nice lunch and walk on the Boardwalk. When we returned to the hotel, not one but TWO of the elevators to the West Tower where we were staying were broken, leaving only two working ones for the entire tower. There was a line of at least 100 people waiting to use the elevators. The Tropicana staff refused to open the service elevators for patron use and there were no stairs to use to walk up to our rooms. So we were forced to waste 45 minutes of our vacation simply to access our rooms. Unacceptable. Worst. Hotel. Ever.
