Description: Schlosshotel im grunewald hotel is a hotel were we stayed a few years ago. We love our little weekends away and we always try to do one each month. It doenst mean we have to go far away and sometimes a few towns away is good enough. It’s often more the idea of being away. We founded this hotel trough the internet and were able to get a good deal to stay two nights during the weekend. I think normally this hotel would have been a little bit too expensive for us otherwise.
This is a five star hotel and it’s something you can tell the minute when you arrive. It has porter service but also the entire hotel from the outside and inside looks very expensive. The location of this hotel is about four kilometers from the city center of Berlin and around ten kilometers from the airport. The hotel is in that case for me not the best option when wanting to explore the city. For us the weekend away was more about relaxing and then you come to the right place at this hotel.
The hotel has a wellness center and that’s something that really extracted us to go here. As a guest you have access to the swimming pool, Finnisch sauna, Turkish bath and Jacuzzi. You can also get a massage or a cosmetic treatment. We opted more for the very relaxing Finnisch sauna, swimming pool and Jacuzzi and although it was the weekend I have to say it wasn’t really that busy.
The hotel doens’t have that many rooms and with 53 rooms it’s a medium sized hotel. The rooms are all very luxurious and come with free internet access, air conditioning, mini bar and full HD television. The most important thing is the bed which was large and very comfortable. We certainly had a good few night of sleep here.
For people who don’t feel like going out at night, the hotel does have a restaurant and Tearoom and of course in the morning breakfast is served. For me this five star hotel gets five stars!
