I stayed here last year,on a return trip to Istanbul after leaving forty years ago.The hotel is in a lively, bustling neighborhood,Cihangir, close to Taksim Square and easy access to tourist areas. The rooms are all newly decorated, and come with satellite TV,mini bar and, airconditioning. The key is a security card that admits only the holder into the secure hallway and then the room. When the card is put in the slot in the room, the lights come on. The bath comes with tub and shower, big mirror and hair dryer. The rate includes breakfast,up on the roof restaurant, with panoramic views of Istanbul. The meal includes fresh fruit, tea, pastries, olives and tomatoes(typical Turkish breakfast.)
The same space is also the fish restaurant "Doga balik"(fresh fish) at night. There is also a cafe downstairs,Leyla. The front rooms tend to be noisy,as they face the street, always full of cars and people, all the time. The area has plenty of good restaurants, all within two minutes walking, and cabs are always around if you want to go sightseeing. I highly recommend Villa Zurich for single women, because of its location. The price for my room was very reasonable,* euros a night, higher during the major tourist season.
