wanted building 5 but was put in #1 after request over phone 4-5 weeks in advance.Building 1 was the oldest in the resort. building 5 was the newest. would have taken any of the newer rooms but was not given a choice even though i checked and saw plenty empty rooms that were empty the entire time of my trip. I paid for the most expensive room by the way......

I never give reviews for anything, but felt it would be wrong not to warn people about this hotel. If you have small kids do not go here. There was a lot of peeling paing and broken tiles around the pool. The rooms was clean. If you are adults traveling and just want a simple get away then this hotel was okay. Make sure you book dinner reservations at night. The main dinning hall had flies around the food and tables. The restaurants was nice, expecillay the Sea Breeze. The Jerk chicken and pork at the outdoor hut was awesome. The adult pool was durty. They needed to vaccum it to get the grass out. The beach was nice. The exercise room was very clean and tidy. The mini golf course was flooded with water. There was too much construction going on. They should concentrate on one building. We stayed in building one, some other guest complained about building two because of the loud music from the stage.
Quick Weekend Getaway

My girlfriend had been to SunSpree before and loved it. We had just missed the Spring Break crowd and it felt like having a resort almost all to ourselves which was pretty nice. The staff was very friendly and the pools and beach front always clean and inviting. The buffet service was always good. The Seabreeze restaurant on premise offered really great Jamaican cuisine right on the beach and the Port Royal is a great lounge to relax in. Definately try the spa which has tons of massages and such to choose from. The hotel offers shuttles into town to catch the night life on the Hot Strip. I certainly recommend this place in the off season. It might be a bit small for my taste for spring break and summer as I'm sure it gets a little cramped. All in all I had a wonderful vacation and plan to come back to the SunSpree.
Getaway with my son

This was our favorite vacation together. It started out with a small room needing updating (but it did have an amazing view). After a request for a better room, they put us up in an ocean view suite with no problem at all. The hotel was great but be aware that there is no room service and although they provide breakfast, lunch and dinner through the buffet for extended hours, the snacks were great and made up for it. Try the jerk pork at the hut near the kids club (VERY Good). The activities were ok but it did not take away from the fact that my son made a lot of friends while we were there. Tons of kids and a feeling of real safety. What I personally liked most was that I could lay on the beach and close my eyes since I did not have to worry about undertows of deep water. My son just went around the beach island there rounding up crabs and fish all day long.
I enjoyed reading the other experiences cause it prepared me to bring a large cup to order drinks in since their cups were the right size for a kindergartner's break time snacks. Over all though, I would visit here again.
