Conrad Jupiters Hotel & Casino

The Conrad Jupiters Hotel & Casino is a very impressive structure in the area commonly known as Surfer's Paradise. With nearly 600 rooms, it's one of Australia's largest hotels.

If it's wagering you're looking for, contained within its walls are three levels of gaming for those 18 and over. While it's impressive by Australian standards, frequent visitors to Las Vegas may be disappointed by the relatively low stakes games.

The live show, "Storm", was entertaining and comparable to Vegas shows. Many children were in the audience, and thoroughly enjoyed the show, as did their parents.

My room was clean and comfortable, and my meal at Spinners was, literally, enough pasta bolognese to feed two people.

The resort is amazing. It's very impressive from the outside and that appeal continues inside. You won't be disappointed with a room with a view of the ocean. The restaurant is wonderful with a buffet you won't believe. Catch a live show inside, enjoy the clean and warm pools, or take a short walk across the street to the beach. Just down a few miles is Surfer's Paradise offering tons of things to do.

It was a gorgeous sunny day in the Gold Coast, and we were able to check right into our room at noon when we arrived at 11am. The hotel gave us a corner suite since we are Hilton Gold members, and the room had a balcony overlooking the beach facing south toward Coolangatta.

We took a walk across the street to the beach and saw that the women''s triathlon competition of the Goodwill Games was about to start. We watched a portion of the running and rowing part, and then we decided to walk into Surfer''s Paradise. It was about a 5K walk, and we were lucky enough to arrive at our destination just ahead of a rain shower.

We had the buffet breakfast at Food Fantasy included in our room rate, so we tried it on Sunday. There was a 20 minute wait to get in, and they took away all of the breakfast items by 10:30. To be honest, all of the food we tried was awful, so it wasn''t worth the wait. Others were paying about $20 each to get in, and they seemed quite disappointed with the value.
