Friendly, guest-oriented

I spent a couple of days here last week. It was my first trip to Atlantic City and my first stay in a Trump property. The room was very clean, the towels were soft, and there were nice toiletries. The air conditioning was quiet. The refrigerator was both quiet and frost-free (anyone with experience in iced-over hotel refrigerators with condensation issues will understand). The chandeliers and marble downstairs are lovely. Attendants were loaning well-kept beach chairs and umbrellas to quests. Workers kept the beach-front clean. After I put blisters on one of my feet walking the boardwalk (and it is a long boardwalk, I discovered), one of the employees got an adhesive bandage for me. I ate in several of the on-site restaurants and, while they were busy, the service was great and friendly. The casino was busy, too, but people were enjoying themselves. I did not visit the spa, although another guest told me it was wonderful. In every contact I had with employees on the property (and with guests, for that matter) from the front desk, to the gift shop, housekeeping, parking attendant, and so on people were pleasant, courteous, and friendly. I would return tomorrow without hesitation. Was sorry to leave.

Just Okay

I stayed for three nights and four days. The room was adequate and not much more except that the view of the beach was great. I was dissappointed that the common areas were small spaces and other areas were chopped or otherwise difficult to navigate. The main floor cafe's service was fair to poor and the food was not very good. So, instead of spending my time at Trump I hung out at Caesar's, on the Boardwalk, and in the shops.

Nice hotel

The hotel was nice, the only down side was that parking was an additional *. I felt that should have been included especially since we stayed there. The room was nice and very clean. Travel Agency also had the cheapest price for this hotel.

Three Stars? I think not.

A real dissapointment. This is an old building, which means tiny rooms. The staff is friendly with some noted exceptions. However, most are in quite incompetent. The rooms are somewhat dirty and the whole main tower of the hotel is in serious need of a remodeling or demolition. Our non-smoking room had cigarrette burns all over the carpet and must have been "non-smoking" because we didn't smoke. We encountered shorts in the electricity, the maid forgetting to leave towels, vending machines didn't work and the 24 hour restaurant was a gathering place for gang bangers after 11PM. Trump even rents kiosks in their own hotel lobby to hucksters who pull on your arm trying to sell time shares. Who does that? It points out their lack of concern for their guests. We paid an average of $250 per night for something one would expect to cost $75 if it didn't sit on the Boardwalk surrounded by casinos. We won't be back and we suggest you keep looking. Atlantic City, we are told, has several better hotels than this tired old building.

Very disappointed

This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our trip and it was our biggest disappointment. The room was loud (placed right above the bar) and the AC did not work when we arrived. It took 2 days for them to fix the AC and we were told, "Tough, you stayed and you pay for it." I really expected more from a Trump hotel. All the food in the hotel was overpriced. Charging for internet is just wrong, especially when you're already paying an outrageous rate for the room. Be sure to get the "Trump One" card or you'll have to pay up to $* for parking. The card keeps it at $* per day.
