Description: Ballys was quite an experience. I never stayed at the hotel here, having been in both nearby Caesars and the Trump Plaza however it was worth a visit. What you will notice is that it doesnt have the grandeur of the other hotels, but it is less expensive. I recommend the breakfast here at the danish eatery. You can get a nice cup of coffee and a bagel or a doughnut which sets you up for the morning.
Ballys has a strange exterior, it seems to be shaped on like a cowboy saloon and then changes at other parts. The hotel seems quite dated and maybe has seen better days. It is situated on the boardwalk which is well worth a visit or a nice walk on a good day. There are lots of people carts outside and people asking if you want a ride. I never decided to go in one, only on foot.
There are several slot machines and table games. They all work on the Vegas hospitality principle, play a game and get a free drink. I would recommend the pina coladas which are tasty and creamy. What is also good about this hotel is that it is connected via a skywalk to Ceasars. It also has its own bus station, so if youre a guest you can be redirected to the bus station and buy your ticket before you go. Several buses run to various areas mainly Phili and New York.
It is worthwhile seeing.
