It was a great place to go. The entertainment around the pool was great. Rooms are nice. Would go back again.

My wife and I just returned from 8 days at the GR Solaris. The Hotel was just wonderful as were the staff. WE ate at the Marco Polo every night and enjoyed great meals and outstanding service. The pool side drinks were so so but other than that it is a first rate property. It is one of the few places we have vacationed where we would go back...

The GR SOLARIS was a nice place to stay they enforced the no saving chair policy at the pool in the mornings. There was always a place to sit at the beach, it was extremely nice and camparible to all the beaches down in the hotel zone. The food was fairly disappointing although, its the same every day and was extremely bland, but for $ a person flight included what can you expect. The rooms were all ceramic tile and the maids did a real nice job with keeping them clean. the refigerators are stocked with 3 small sol beers, 3 waters, and 3 pops. leave a note if you would like different types of pop, they may do it after you leave a dollar in the fridge. Bring a some $1 dollar bills for tips. The bar tenders at the pool will like that, and ask for specific types of alcohol or they will make your drinks with the cheap stuff. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and cost .50 cents American or 6.5 pesos to go where ever down through Cancun, way cheaper than a taxi. IF YOU GO SHOPPING AT ANY FLEA MARKETS OFFER THEM AT LEAST 80% LESS THAN WHAT THERE ASKING. EVERY BODY WHATS TO DEAL.

Great beach and pool - perfect little get-away!

There were four female cousins in our group, celebrating a 40th birthday. We had the absolute best time. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff was very friendly. The food was great. We took the time to make reservations in the Marco Polo restaurant, which changed its food each night based on the theme, but you could also eat in the buffet area almost any time. The pools were beautiful. You had the choice of sitting by the quieter all adult pool and hot tub area, or you could go to the louder, more action-packed pool area(s) where there were contests, activities, etc. There were activities happening all day long. The spa service was excellent as well. You can book your tours and excursions on Travelocity, which is also convenient. The bus stops right in front of the hotel, so for 6.5 pesos each (about 50 cents each way), we took the bus to the malls, to other shopping, to Senor Frogs, etc. It was really easy to get around or to stay put, whichever you prefer. We highly recommend this hotel and their great service!

GR Solaris- Great Getaway!

We went on a girls trip the last week of JANUARY to the GR Solaris and had a great time. We had an oceanfront room on the 5th floor, amazing view!!! The weather was not good, it was chilly especially at night. The entertainment staff out by the pools and lobby bar made the trip. They were friendly and did a great job of getting the guests involved in activities such as dancing, sports, obstacle courses, bingo, you name it! The resort is right on the ocean, there are several pools, a hot tub(which wasn't warm enough), a swim up bar, and a snackshack by the pools. The hotel is newer and is very clean. The spa is the best!!! The day you book a service there you unlimited access to the steam spa and large jacuzzi. Four nights was not long enough-
