Beautiful pools, but where is the beach?

Overall not a bad hotel. The best part were the amazing pools and swim up bars. The staff was very nice as well. The meals were okay. During the afternoon the Margaritas Bar and Grill had the best food. At night there were 3 other options for dinner besides the buffet. But they fail to tell you that long pants are required for the men as a dress code to go to these resturants. I laughed about this because who brings long pants to Cancun? However there is a steak house across the street that is amazing!!! A must to try out. There is not a lot of beach area which was a disappointment, maybe 10 yrds by 100yrds of beach access. Not a bad place to stay but there are better places in Cancun.

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware! We just got back from our stay at Temptation Resort early this morning and the information I am about to provide you with may change your mind about what to expect at Temptation. We stood at this resort from 7/10 - 7/17 and the first few days were nice. On the third day of our trip, I noticed someone taking hidden closeup photos of the women that were minding their own business around the resort. I confronted him, grabbed the camera out of his hand and began to delete these photos. There were well over 60 on his camera and the guy was there less than 12 hours. We called security and they basically took the guy's memory stick from him and management assured us it would not happen again. Well guess what, the very next day, the guy was caught again with another camera and by a different guest (we noticed this after coming back from lunch). I got involved again, along with some other guests (you know who you are, and thanks again!) and was told by management that he would be removed from the resort. He wasn't. We saw him the next morning and for the third time, went to management to complain. The manager on duty, I believe was R, said that "it's an adults only resort and the guest had every right to do what he was doing and that there was nothing writen in the policy to do anything about it!!!". COULD YOU IMAGINE!!! He wasn't interested at all, in helping us. I am running our of room to finish, so please feel free to contact me if you want the rest of the story. Basically the management here was horrible.

Great vacation

My husband and I stayed at the sister resort and did not enjoy it at all so we came to Temptation and it was the best decision we could have made, this resort is absolutely gorgeous, the staff & and activities were great. I enjoyed the many food options and how clean the entire property was. If I return to Cancun this will be my number one choice. Location was also a plus within walking distance to the mall and other attractions.

Best trip hand down!

Temptation Resort is amazing! To begin with, it is an adults resort and the web page, advertising etc. make it very clear that topless sunbathing is permitted and it is an over 21 crowd. It can get pretty wild at the sexy pool, but it is all in good fun and hilarious. Come on, with a name like Temptation you cannot expect everyone to act like Mary Poppins. Check in and check out were both seamless. Our room was ready when we arrived around 4:00. It was one of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in while in Mexico. This is a very active resort, and a perfect place to go have a good time and enjoy the party. Or, if you don't want to party in the sexy pool, venture over to the quiet side. The restaurants are excellent. You do have to get reservations, but that is typical at Cancun resorts. We added someone to our party at the last minute and the staff was very accomodating. I highly recommend the Italian place. The staff works very hard and puts up with a lot of crap from rude, drunk customers. They are very professional and kind and speak excellent English. I recieved very good service the entire week. The only thing that is not great is the beach. This resort is on the bay, facing Isla Mujeres. So, you don't get the turquoise water and expanse of beach. However, the beach area has tiki huts and plenty of lounges. I met new and interesting people and had a great time. Temptation also feels very safe. I was always comfortable when I was out at night alone. This is a great resort for singles!

Buddies' getaway Memorial Day 2008

After returning from my fourth consecutive year with a group of friends I wanted to pass along the renovations have generally improved the facility but yet again I struggled with comfort in the mediocre air conditioning that left the room wet and warm all the time, and the beds are still like slate. As a single traveler I feel like the resort is trending towards favorable for couples and there are obviously many swingers there. Otherwise, attempts to meet single coeds are few and far between. The pool contests haven't changed since I've visited, and while the hosting cast are wonderful people they are aging too and seem to be getting a little tired of working in paradise. I wouldn't rule out returning but I'd bring a date, test the a/c, and consider eating off-campus more often. I find the main cafeteria food to be simply awful.
