It was a nice, modern recently renovated resort that was Adults only. Perfect! It was good to get away from the kids for a while. It wasn't a huge property so it was good to walk around especially in the summer heat. It's located right on the water which was stunning. Only a couple of things, 1) the humidity was so high that the tile floors were slippery. There was a de-humidifier in the room that helped but it would fill up before the 24 hours when the cleaning gal would clean the room each day. 2) Someone threw up in one of the pools and it was not cleaned up for 2 days although others swam in the pool ignoring it(?), Once it was reported it was cleaned up but it was gross while it was there. Open bars may lead to that. WOtherwise we had a really great time and I was happy with our choice with so many places to choose from. We went out into town to party at the clubs, it was safe as can be. Also you don't have to rent a lock for the safe at the front desk like other resorts, it's electronic. Watch out for Time Share salespeople("the Breakfast Tour") although you get a gift for going and listening. Also always haggle your prices on the beach or on the street. They'll come down.
Won't go back

Cons: Stingy on liquor in drinks, foods bland, pools close at 7 pm, beds are hard, no clocks but yet you have to be at certain places at certain times, stand in line daily from 10-12 to make dinner reservations at their resturants, bedding isn't washed daily so it stinks, clubs in the resort are boring and don't offer much entertainment, not much of a beach and it's rocky in the water so you can't swim there, seaweed and other items washed up on beach. They try to push you into joining their timeshare....don't waste your time. The resort was packed with single guys.
Pros: Massages are great, stafff speaks most langauges, rooms are clean (except bedding), safes in room, buffet is okay so when you miss your reservations you can always eat there, most of the staff is friendly, no kids

My girlfriend and I stayed 4 nights at temptations the second week of September and had an awsome time. The staff are very friendly and do everything possible to accomidate you. The food at the restaurants was excellent as well as the buffet. The room was throughly cleaned daily (which was a big plus with my girlfriend). The service at the bars was top notch... they always payed attention when your drink was getting low and would have one on the way in no time. There was security everywhere which was a big plus.
Bad things: The toilet did not have a door and the shower had a big window from which someone could watch you take a shower and use the restroom. I did not mind this but my ladyfirend was not as admissable. The beach was not great, so if you value a prestine beach without lots of seaweed stay somewhere else. The excursion conserige information was a little mis-leading regarding priceing and all the included events. It might be worth booking some of the excursions online to save some cash. Overall it wasn't bad.
I would definitely stay here again.

just got back we stood from 9/8 till 9/12. we loved it. the resturants are 5 star the food is excellent. u have to make reservations in the morning from 10-12 but they allow u to make 3 then u have to go back and reserve for the other days but its not bad. things not to do . dont buy any tours in the airport its a timeshare scandal the hotel got our money back. the resort also asks u to go on a tour and eat breakfast with them thats also a timshare scandal skip that, the drinks arent that strong but if u tip them they will make them stronger. as far as activities they are great they keep u busy all day . will def go back . the rooms look exactly as the website. only complaint was im a beer drinker and they only have 1 type of beer
Best ever

We stayed there over Labor Day weekend. When we arrived the staff took our bags up to our room and checked us in. X was great at the Italian place. We were treated with respect from the moment we arrived until the time we go onto our airline van. Front desk people were friendly. Everyone smiled at you. The asian place was the greatest!! Go there, if you are thinking about going to cancun, stay here. It has no children running around and you meet some of the greatest people. The entire town of cancun is humid, not just this hotel. THE SPA!! OMG!! Best time ever spent there. The staff treats you like you are gold. I can go on and on and on.
