The hotel was better than I expected. Cleaner than any of the others I have ever been to in Mexico. The location was good the food was good for all inclusive and the service, yes the service. It was great everywhere but in housekeeping. It was a hassle getting your room cleaned. Too many towels not enough towels Do not distrib sign didn't mean anything to them.On and on. One thing that was very beautiful but annoying was the marble everywhere. It was so noisy in the halls from the echos bouncing off the marble. But I loved it!!!

Not what they promised

This is not a 4 star hotel. There are actually only 2 pools not 3 as advertised unless you count the kiddy wading pool as the third. The food was mediocre and basically what was not consumed on the previous day showed up in another form the next day. Soup was clearly made from leftovers and there was little variety to the meals. There was no service at the pool so if you want a drink you have to go get it yourself. The staff are not friendly and they really do not want to take American money. This is an old hotel that lives up to the saying "You get what you pay for".

Tried to save some $$$ by staying here after staying last year at DREAMS Resort. Of course you always compare but the truth is that YOU CAN NOT !! Dreams is at a whole upper level! Check in was fine, Room was okay, beds were very hard, No minibar or fridge. No hair blower or iron. Small TV (haven't seen one like that in years). THey only have 1 Restaurant a la Carte. Everything else is buffet. Went once to Restaurant and they served me my Fettuchini's with red Ragu sauce ! Bartenders and waiters were Excellent ! I asked front sesk for a wake up call to go on a trip, and THEY FORGOT TO CALL ME !! I think I EXPECTED to much after staying at DREAMS !! I will try my best NOT to return unless I save Hundreds of $$$$...Going back to Cancun next year, back to DREAMS !!!

Good first time trip to Cancun & the All-Inclusives

7:30pm Sat. night and it only took us 5 minutes to check-in. Our bell boy even brought us 2 cocktails before showing us to our room. Pay the extra for the Ambassador Suite. Here is the good and bad of it. The good: the room is the size of a 1 bedroom apartment. It did have a kitchenette, despite what the website says, but the fridge was never stocked. The living room had a murphy bed and a dining table and little living room area with a tv. One large walk-in closet and a nice sized vanity area separate from the bathroom & shower. The bad: ALL rooms only come with 2 double beds (and the murphy bed). We had expected a King. The ENTIRE hotel is covered in marbel. Fine, except so does your room and the hallway outside your room. Upgrade to the Ambassador since the bedroom is set further back in the room and you can't hear the noise in the hallway at all. Otherwise, it's LOUD. A note about the Presidential Suite with a jacuzzi. They are not private but they have a nice terrace patio and a pretty good ocean view on either side of the hotel. We got used to the marbel floor and overall had a really nice trip. Upon arrival we were only approached once for a timeshare presentation and once again upon departure. We hear all the hotels do that in Cancun so this one is no exception. Both buffets were just okay. They have a separate adult pool so it was nice being apart from the kids. Overall, depending on price, we would look into hotels with slightly greater ammenities next trip. But this was a good starter trip for us first timers to Cancun and the all-inclusives.

Great Relaxing Vacation

We had a wonderful time at Park Royal. The hotel is immaculate clean, had delicious food and a beutiful beach location. The La Isla mall was right across the street and the bus to downtown was right in front of the hotel. The staff was excellent - they were so nice and were always checking with us is everything OK. I highly recommend this hotel.
