Description: My wife and i stayed in the Park Royal for our wedding anniversary in December 2007.
We had booked a presidential suite on the frontside of the hotel, which meant no seaview, but still a nice view of the bay and the Isla Shopping mall, which is just opposite the hotel, really close by.
A Presidential suite has a nice living room, with a fridge, table, chairs, and a tv (small size 22 inch or so). The bedroom has two small beds, i had hoped for a kingsize, but alas, it was not to be. I feel beds were pretty comfortable, just a bit small.
There was a beautiful large jacuzzi on the private, huge balcony.
The cleaning staff was good, and the rooms were very clean. At least twice a day, with fresh towels and linen, even if you just had a nap in daytime.
Check in for the timeshare was excellent, we were through in a breeze (5 minutes) and in our room in 10.
There are two restaurants and 1 snackbar in the resort.
The a la carte restaurant (Italian) was excellent, with a good choice of pastas, pizza and meats and fish.
The buffet restaurant was also good, although the choice is somewhat limited. Kind of sad that there was only a very small choice of Mexican food.
The snackbar is close to the adult swimming pool, and serves burgers, hotdogs, pizza and nachos.
There are two pools, one for everyone, and one for adults only. The adults only pool is conveniently located close to the outdoor bar.
The animation team does an amazing job, they organize several activities a day, for both kids and adults. For timeshare owners they organized a nice party at a disco in downtown, Dady O's.
All in all, the resort is nice, very friendly staff, and good service overall.
We will certainly be back.
The resort is good for families and couples, has an exellent location right in the middle of the strip, and has a great beach.
