My girlfriend and I, 28 & 30, stayed here for 4 nights. The restaurants were great. I highly recommend Marco Polo. It's really nice inside. The food is amazing...very romantic with an ocean view. A dinner at this restaurant would easily cost you $80 minimum in the states. The big buffet place has a large selection for breakfast including natural juices (Watermelon, Melon, Orange...), an egg chef and a pancake/waffle chef. They also have a HUGE selection at night there of desserts. Solaris Cafe is the only restaurant I can think of that does not have an ocean view. At night, they usually have some live music in the lobby lounge until 11PM. That usually consists of two musicians playing American music along with salsa, merengue, and latin pop. I highly recommend the drink Banana Sexi...very fruity and delicious. The beach had huge waves there and a nice windy breeze, & beds poolside. Beach volleyball too! Resort was VERY clean, no sand inside. You could hear the waves splashing throughout the night. There were some customers that drank too much. One was our two neighbors. We actually had to switch rooms one night because how loud they were. We called security. It took them a little long (20 mins) to address the situation, but they got them to hush up and almost kicked those people out. They upgraded us for free the next day to an ocean view room. The staff was pretty friendly and happy. We rented a car at the hotel for $35. We got the car on Monday evening and had to return it Wednesday morning. We drove to Tulum (about 1hr 45 min drive) and saw the Mayan ruins. It was worth the drive and we were even able to stop at Playa del Carmen

Would NEVER stay her again!--LOTS of reasons!
