My husband and I went for our first vacation without the children and had the best time of our lives! Cancun Palace was everything we could have hoped for and more. The hotel was incredibly clean and the staff were super friendly. We can't wait to go back. We loved the Japanese restaurant (Miyako) and had dinner there a few times. Wil probably order room service for breakfast next visit as it got quite crowded some times. The pool and view were amazing. Temperature of both was perfect. The left side of the pool area was the party area and the right side seemed to be the quiet relaxing side.
The only problem that we had was that our room smelled of mildew. They were prompt to come when we called but were not able to fix the problem. Room 451 on the lagoon side. They kept offering to move us but we had already unpacked and weren't too put out to move our stuff and waste some of our precious time. Overall, it was the best resort experience that we have ever had. Can't wait to go back again next year!!! I highly recommend Cancun Palace!!!

We've been before the renovations and enjoyed it. Now, it's crisp and clean and totally reinvented. The restaurant choices are a really great feature. There was never boredom in food choices. The kids club is to die for. I almost wish ihad a little kid. You can leave your kids there with their sitters - free - and they give you a cell phone so you're always in touch. The free included tours make it a real bargain espcilaly when I priced some of them. The pool is heated now so that was GREAT but it's a very active area. Not a place to quietly read a book. The entertainment at night was pretty good especially since they built their own amphitheater. It's perfectly located and quick bus ride to the action center. Oh, and did I mention you can visit the other palace resorts for free? They even have a regular shuttle. It was a super vacation. I can't wait to go back!!!

The pools were very nice the resturants were great. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the poolside activites were great. I would stay again and again and I can't wait till next year to go back and bring more friends, The renevations were just great. This was my 3rd time at the Cancun palace and I can't recommend a better place to stay. Visit the other Palaces there also great places to stay and just hang out.

My family and I spent a week at the Cancun Palace and had a terrific experience. The staff was friendly and willing to help. The hotel offers not only delicious food but also a variety of restaurants. The kids area where you could leave small children had many activities. The people responsible for the children's supervision were friendly, accommodating and approachable. The beach activities such as parasailing, jet sky, etc, were an added bonus to an already pleasant stay. The spa facility and products were of high quality. I would love to stay at the Cancul Palace again, and I highly recommend the property.

Beware the "concrete" palace

My boyfriend and I planned a trip to Mexico hoping to find a tropical escape. We were greatly disappointed. Like others have said the hotel was not ready to be open, and many of the amenities were not fully functional yet. There was no ambiance at the hotel and my boyfriend and I joked that we were in the concrete palace instead of the Cancun palace. There was not a single flower or plant in the hotel (okay maybe one). Our best day was when we journeyed via taxi and ferry to the Cozumel palace for snorkeling (a nicer hotel). The palace resorts allow access to all of their resorts, but beware they will not provide transportation back and forth, unless you are participating in one of their ?spa or golf packages?. You are basically captive with little activity besides drinking and listening to sales pitches. The food is mediocre and the beach is okay, but there are people constantly harassing you to buy things and the water is rough. If you are looking for a relaxing beautiful tropical getaway this is not the place for you. If you are looking to get wasted at the pool with all inclusive drinks then this definitely is the place for you.
