I just arrived from Fiesta America last Night (Nov. 22, 08), and I have to tell you, the commentaries on onnline travel websites are completely misleading. I have traveled extensively throughout Mexico, and this is at best a 3 star resort. I have to be honest, the staff was courteous for the exception of a few. However, given the fact that these people work 12 hour days, 6 days a week, no wonder some are so cranky. Suffice to say that you pay for your vacation and you expect the reviews to reflect where and what you are getting.
I was there for rest. But. Let me tell you, I did not get a day of rest at this resort. The staff is up at 6:30 AM cleaning the pool area, dragging chairs and the walls being so paper thin, you could hear everything. You immediately wake up wondering what's happening. The food was overpriced and portions were incredibly small. A hamburger with frenchfries that would you typically get a McDonalds was easily $16.00 American Dollars, plus they expect a large tip. I soon discovered a market accross the street; coffee shops that served better food than the resort itself. Needless to say, I saved over 400.00 in food just eating out.
I will never forget the odors from local foods. I actually lost weight. I was nauseated by the smells and ghetto a block from the resort....imagine that. I was told to be very becareful. I was advised to carry a photo copy of my ID, in the event I was jumped or hit by a car.....They drive insanely fast...worse than New York City.
Suffice to Say, I would never return. I would go back to Cancun and only.
I guess it was good for the price

Fiesta Club was okay, decent food. My only complaint with the food is they left the milk and other beverages sit out for three hours. They were not put on ice and in that climate it is not good. Rooms were clean and maid service was excellent. Beach was better than reviews I read indicated. Front desk staff did everything they could to avoid honoring our $100 early bird resort credit booking reward. We had to bring it to their attention, provide proof, etc.... It should have popped up with our reservation. Pool is not that great, don't expect much.
Excellent hotel!

We loved this place! Large, clean rooms all with ocean front views. Great water pressure in the extra large shower and a balcony perfect for viewing the sunset every night. Here's a tip for the a/c. If it doesn't stay on continuously make sure to call down to front desk. It runs on a timer to conserve energy when nobody's staying in the rooms, but in our case they forgot to turn it on so that first night was a bit uncomfortable, but after that no problems.
I think the hightlight of this hotel is the pool and beach setup. They have a massive pool with plenty of lounge chairs to go around and a swim up bar as well. While most of the families were at the pool, my husband and I were lounging at their beach. Although its a little narrow, its also pretty long and they have large permanent umbrellas with built in tables along side the lounge chairs and we never had a problem finding a spot. We spent many relaxing days out there with the wailters coming by often the take of your drink and food needs.
The food was very good at the hotel, but a little expensive- the beers were $, and I think the dinner buffet was around $(make sure to ask for your 25% discount!). However, that seemed to be the trend for the town in general. The excursions desk sent us to some resteraunt they said was cheap but it was like $ p/p. Total rip off. Bottom line,do your research ahead of time. We heard from a couple of locals that the Happy Lobster was a good, inexpensive restaurant but we didn't get a chance to get down there. Next time...

My boyfriend and I went down to PV to get away for the week, and were both VERY pleased with this hotel. Although the hotel is older, the staff keeps it in excellent condition. It was always clean, and they went out of there way to keep us happy and comfortable. I would highly recommend it to anyone-both those traveling with a family or friends. Awesome place!

This is a Very Nice looking resort, we stayed on the 7th floor and the view was awesome!! The location was perfect, great for us because we were always on the go traveling everywhere, The resort is very clean, the rooms are older but very clean, the front desk staff very friendly and helpful, the pool big, nice, but not deep under 4 foot max, great for kids, but as for me 6 ft 5in, I enjoyed swimming at the pool at Marina Del Rey Condos where family was staying, alot better. The beach was not as described, What beach?? I didnt swim in it once, nor did I see 1 person swim in it the entire week I was there, from what I saw it was probably one of the worst swimming beaches in the PV area, if you really want a good beach, hop on the Sayulita bus, right down the street from Fiesta Americana by the Wal Mart and Sams Club, across from the Marina where the Cruise ships depart, it will cost u 20 pesos about 2 U.S. dollars and it takes you to Sayulita, they have a awesome beach!! Great for swimming and surfing, and a cool small town. The service was bad here, really suprised me, for I have had nothing but the best service everytime I visited Mexico, We were charged extras to our room that we did not eat/drink, was straightened out at front desk, I guess cleaning staff was hungry and decided to eat out of the mini bar at our expense. Also there was beer charged to our room, which we had already paid for, luckily we kept our receipts. Also had clothes missing from our room, hopefully went to somebody who really needed them..
