Great hotel with a fantastic staff

The staff of this hotel is fabulous. We had to change rooms (at our discretion, no fault of the hotel) and the staff did so graciously. We were greeted by name the entire time of our stay. Hot breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and spacious. Hampton Inns are always above average, but the Jacksonville property was out of sight.

We were in town for a visitation & funeral, and chose the Hampton Inn by the appearance of the outside of the hotel. We couldn't have been happier with our decision. The room rate was reasonable, and hotel was clean & the staff, for the most part, was friendly. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, and the bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept in at a hotel. My husband & I are both tall, and the shower fit us perfectly. We enjoyed the free wireless internet (we had taken our laptop to watch a movie without even knowing aboutq the internet), and the free breakfast. Our only complaint was, after reading (in our room) that if you needed a later check-out, the hotel staff would be happy to work with you, we stopped at the front desk, and was told in a very rude tone, that they would not be willing to work with us. All in all we were happy with our stay, and would recommend the Hampton Inn to anyone. We would also stay there again if we were in town.
