i am from mankato, but moved away and was back in town to reunite with old friends. my husband and i stayed at the hilton knowing that the location was great and that it had been built very recently. we were excpecting a lot more from a hilton, because we've stayed in many other hilton hotels in many different areas. we were dissapointed with the cleanliness of the hotel.
the door on the inside of the bathroom had scummy, slimy stuff all over it. the floors in the whole building were not as clean as someone would expect for a hilton. the elevators were very slow, too warm, and dirty. we didn't have time to swim in the pool, but it is THE tiniest pool i've ever seen in a hotel before. we talked with a man who was in the elevator with us right after he was finished with the hot tub and he said it wasn't even worth going into because of how unclean it was.
we've been to "olives", the restaurant attached to the hotel, before and were just as happy with it as we had been. the service is great and they have a unique menu.
i'll be back again, hoping that things are cleaned up better.
