Amazing Hotel!

I travel to Medan every other month for month for business and I would never think of staying anywhere but the JW! I used to stay at an unnamed competitor but after my first stay at the JW I realized the rooms here are larger and the service is incredible. There are several fantastic restaurants to choose from and at the end of the night my favorite spot in Medan is the Prime Bar. Thank you Mr. Marriott for opening such an amazing hotel!

The level of service and quality of the accommodations is unsurpassed in my eyes. The rooms are well appointed and a very nice size. I found the hotel staff from the front desk to housekeeping to be exceptionally professional and courteous. A wonderful experience...

My wife and I took a 3 week vacation through Asia. We wanted to get a true feel for the culture so we booked all of our hotels at local establishments (i.e. no chain hotels). Boy, what a mistake. After many dirty, noisy, unsafe, and sleepless nights we decided to fall back to what we know; Marriott! Staying at the JW Marriott Medan was like coming home. It is everything, and more, you expect when staying with Marriott. The staff was so nice. We even met the hotel General Manager.

My daughter and I were very pleased with our experience at the Marriott in Medan. It was exactly what we expect of a Western style hotel. Great service, fantastic food (we at at the steak restaurant for dinner and had the breakfast buffet) and the rooms were very clean. It was the perfect place to stay before heading out to more remote places in Sumatra.
A little oasis for respite

The hotel, after an amazing oranghutan hike, was a welcome home and respite. Rooms are spacious, staff are friendly and accomodating, the pool is clean without chlorine (saline?), and the spa/massage was the strongest hands ever on a tiny woman.
