Traveled with my family, to Puerto Vallarta for the first time, we have been to CanCun, Cabos, Acapulco, Cozumel. so we are pretty familiar with Mexico.By far this is the worst we have experienced, the hotel is old worn down, rooms are in bad shape, poor customer service, overcharged and when I tried to have charges corrected they refused, even with written proof!Overall I would not return to this Hotel and would not reccomend it.

Instead of falling prey to the 'timeshare vultures' and being coerced into attending a time-consuming and COSTLY presentation-Elite Services exists on-site at VDPM. Prices are nearly 1/3 of those quoted at Flamingo's and available for more than "right now"!!! No pressure but lots of info given.

Rooms clean/spacious. Pullout sofa bed was hard but king bed was comfortable. Prices expensive but food was good. Entertainment was pricey but you could watch it from your balcony for free. Pools/location/beach all great. We went with our 2 & 3 yr olds and had a wonderful time. Easy to avoid timeshare salesmen - avoid anything "free". Also use travel agent by snack shop for info instead of people at desks out front.

The hotel is great, as is the staff. Their is way too much trickery and pressure related to Timeshare Presentation sales at this hotel. In fact, this is true everywhere in Mexico. You would do yourself a favor to advise people to be wary and to avoid timeshare presentations.

Our experience at the Villa Del Palmar was without exception five smiling faces. The restaurants could be improved; however the service and hospitality far overshadowed any criticism we may have had. We have vacationed at several different resorts in Puerto Vallarta, but now will return to Villa Del Palmar without a second thought. In our opinion, the travel website rating could be upgraded.
