Hotel Gornergrat

Hotel Gornergrat is located directly across from the train station. It is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and bars. Conveniently, there is a ski hire shop adjacent to the hotel. However, it is a fair walk to any of the ski lifts and gondolas. The rooms are basic but clean. The decor needs to be updated. You''ll need to ask specifically for a room with a bath. All rooms have a balcony. Ours had a good view of the Matterhorn. Breakfast ends at 10am and they are not too happy if you come late. There isn''t much left at that time so get there early. If you don''t plan on spending much time in the hotel, I would recommend this one. It''s a good value if you only plan on sleeping there.
