Great Views of Fes at a wonderful hotel

I spent a wonderful week at Palais Jamaii. The rooms with a view are worth the extra money - seeing the sunrise or sunset over the medina is wonderful. The breakfast buffet overlooking the pool and the city is delicious. The amount of fresh fruits and vegetables is staggering. I had just been to Paris but thought the hotel pastries and dessets were better. The lunch buffet is also great. The gardens are lovely, with fountains and birds. The pool is never overcrowded. The staff is friendly and the service is great. Did I mention the fantastic lemon coconut cookies served in the lobby? Also, there are some great shops next to the hotel, esp. the Restaurant Firdeous (SP??) which is also a shop.
Minor negatives: the exercise room is small; limited computer acess; dinner isn't served until 7:30; not much in the way of inexpensive meals; near the medina but not near the good shopping. The Moroccan food is good but not fully spiced.
